Echoes of Devil’s Den: A Family Shattered

Listen Later

A summer day at Devil’s Den State Park should have been filled with laughter, love, and the simple joy of family. Instead, it became the site of a devastating crime. Clinton David Brink, 43, and Cristen Amanda Brink, 41, were brutally stabbed to death while their two young daughters stood only steps away. It was the girls’ quick actions—alerting nearby adults—that brought help, but not before unimaginable loss had already unfolded.

The manhunt that followed gripped Arkansas. Investigators traced a trail of evidence—security footage, DNA, and witness accounts—that led to the arrest of 28-year-old elementary school teacher Andrew James McGann. He now stands charged with two counts of capital murder and has entered a plea of not guilty.

As prosecutors weigh the possibility of the death penalty, questions remain: what led to this horrific attack, and why were the Brinks targeted? In the Season 2 finale of Chillworthy, we focus on the lives of Clinton and Cristen Brink, their love, and the family they built—while also unraveling the investigation that shocked a community and turned a state park into a crime scene.
