DJing and digging the world's sounds is the way through which I try to understand language-culture expression. I wouldn't really defined my music tastes as attached to specific genres or styles, but if I must delimit it, I would go for styles that range from afrobeat, kwaito, latin, soca and zouk, down to experimental electronica, downtempo, balearic, italo-disco, pop, (acid) house, new beat, tribal and progressive trance!"

Recorded about a year ago, OBRAZ wrote he had experienced many strong moments and important changes in 2020 (not because of Covid) that are reflected in the recording and which were literally transcendent for him.

OBRAZ is a DJ part of the ÉTER crew and works in room acoustics, so he basically lives within sound!

@eter_brno crew is a platform that seeks to raise awareness of non-mainstream electronic music and supports the local scene by organizing small parties, publish podcasts and spend a lot of time in their Studio 410.

Living in Prague, he was a founding member of the @eter_brno crew with Obraz and Prozac. Kosmic Skaut ran their mix series and organizes parties. In Brno, he was also behind Studio 410, a place for meeting and cooperation of local DJs and producers during the closed clubs period.

For 8 years he's also been organizing the "Michalský výpad" festival in the historical centre of its native Olomouc, bringing interesting artists of the Czech electronic scene to local audiences.

A fascinating complementary facet of Ethiopian music, right after its golden era. ✨ This is not the 60's nor the 70's ethio-jazz or ethio-groove you may be accustomed to, but a whole lot of 80's goodness from many lesser-known performers, where often electronics are to be heard in the production.

Mostly rare tunes from Addis and various regions of this huge African country, all lovingly lifted from tapes by @Mitmitta, one of the Westerner's foremost Ethiopian music connoisseurs. 🇪🇹

@Mitmitta is an Amharic speaking Norwegian and one of the main collectors who was based in Ethiopia until COVID-19 (2020), focusing on Ethiopian, Eritrean and Sudanese music. He started a music shop in Addis-Ababa in 2010 called Mitmitta Musika alongside a blog and Mixcloud, where he shared some of the best music from the region. www.mixcloud.com/mitmitta

Dany Digler plays in Schade, Los Orioles and other Swiss bands. Among other things, he's also a concert promoter and a big music lover.

2nd episode in the Music for Indoors series, he sent us this great New Wave / Synthwave / No Wave mix with great current bands as well as 80's ones.

The mix relates to his record with Schade called LE SOLEIL on Cheptel Records.

Schade is a duo born in 2013 following the union of 2 active musicians of the Swiss alternative music scene, Brynjar Thorsson (Welington Irish Black Warrior, Double Pig) and Dany Digler (Dee Diglers, Love Cans, Trash Mantra). They created a clever mix between their various influences, giving birth to a hybrid sound described as French chanson taking roots in Post-Punk and New Wave tinted with psychedelism.

The group played for the first time at the Swiss Psych Fest and many opportunities followed after that show. Soon the duo got exported abroad performing in many countries across Europe and the US.
