Thursday 15th of April 2016, Ecoutes au vert put up a special Tropical Party at Sameheads in Neukölln, Berlin. We were excited to welcome 3 awesome record collectors/djs from Canada, France and Switzerland, playing their first gig in Berlin.

PHILIPPE NOEL & LES DIPLOMATES (aka MAMBO CHICK & JEAN TOUSSAINT) indeed brought the heat to Sameheads's low ceiling basement & people grooving in the bar above, playing only original 1950's to 1980's vinyls featuring the best Cumbia, Kompas, Guaracha, Gaitas, Son, Juju, Calypso, Afro-Colombian, Soukous, Afro Jazz, Sudanese music and much more... Killer melodies, heavy bass and irresistible rhythms that brought much love & smiles and got people dancing like crazy.

This is the 2nd Part of the over 4 hours mix that was actually the 1st ever meeting of these 3 dedicated record collectors and awesome people. Prior to that, they had only exchanged about music and records via the internet. Surely, they will meet again behind the decks...
