Tesla is testing out a technology that CEO Elon Musk has previously called unnecessary.

For more, KCBS Radio news anchor Rebecca Corral spoke with Bloomberg News Reporter Ed Ludlow about the logic behind Tesla's plan to test Lidar even though they think its not necessary. This could be to benchmark their own camera tech or it could be to test the future viability of Lidar.
