Paul’s final defense shows us exactly what we need for effective evangelism.

Paul is caught between Jewish leaders who hate him and Roman officials who care nothing for him, falsely accused, unjustly imprisoned, completely vulnerable and, it seems, all alone. But God has prepared him for this moment and has put him exactly where he's supposed to be.

Paul enters Jerusalem against the advice of his friends, and endures suffering at the hands of the Jews, yet gets to share his testimony.

Paul's final words to the elders in Ephesus give us a clear picture of the pastoral leadership we need for our growth as Christians.

Paul evangelizes in Thessalonica and Berea with mixed results. Many are unconvinced by his simple explanation of the gospel. But those in Berea examine the word eagerly and humbly believe.
