Paul explains why elders are necessary. False teachers have infiltrated churches in Crete and are teaching religious rules. Such teaching must be stopped.

Boaz and Ruth marry. Ruth and Naomi enjoy all the undeserved blessings of redemption. Obed, grandfather of King David, is born.

Ruth observes that everlasting provision comes through a marriage to Boaz. As a result, she takes a risk; she hopes solely in him.

Boaz, a relative of Naomi, notices the impoverished Ruth gleaning in the fields. He ensures that she has an abundance of protection and provision.

After leaving Israel, the place of God’s blessing, Naomi returns to Bethlehem. She returns without husband or sons, but with a loyal daughter-in-law, Ruth.
