This is supposed to be July? It looks horrible outside... and I got soaked on the bike today. Oh well, let's have a bit more of an eclectic mix of music tonight on the podcast. Coincidentally all the tracks are by female artists - but that suggests there was an element of planning rather than it being largely by chance. But the music is maybe a little bit different normal. That said - it's all brilliant. You have my promise on that!

Apologies. I'm shattered this week. So if I sound a bit more tired than usual this is why. I'm afraid this means a bit less chat than normal too. However - just as much music as ever. There's a track from the Dum Dum Girls album that was released back in March, another great track from the Slow Animal self-titled EP, and we end with a great live track from the Mountain Goats - courtesy of the Live Music Archive.

A new podcast! I was running a bit late so ended up recording it in my smelly cycling clothes. Sorry for that. Thankfully smells don't transfer along with podcasts. On the plus side, there's a diverse selection of music today. A great old track from London's Part Chimp kicks the show off. There's also some lo-fi music from Maxwell Panther, and the great new single by Tender Trap off their upcoming album.

I have a headache. Poor me. But I've cast the pain aside and made another podcast with some great music. There's all-girl Argentinian punk band Las Vin Up, a great self-release track from Slow Animal, and a song by Edinburgh-based Withered Hand.

I'm not really here. I mean, I'm out watching Teenage Fanclub tonight. But I recorded this podcast a few days ago while making a chili. Even more importantly, I do it without any notes again. Tonights podcast features some great lo-fi music from B for Brontosaurus, some folk from Emilie Lund, and a fantastic piece of post-rock from Explosions in the Sky. And more!

I've made notes! Yes, today I made some notes for the podcast. Whether this has improved things... Well, probably not... because I get the podcast number wrong right at the start. Music in this podcast includes a great indie-pop track from unsigned Glasgow band The Maple Leaves, there's also a track from the most recent Twilight Sad album, and swedish popsters Emerald Park.

This week I have mostly been playing Xbox and cycling into clouds of greenflies. But I take a break to play some podsafe music. First up there's a great track from the new Japandroids LP, which is a compilation of their previous EPs. There's also some great lo-fi indie folk from The Wind Whistles, Sarcastic Dharma Society and Dressed Like Wolves.

It's election day in the UK, and I'm making podcast number 11 from a very echoey room. And I mean really echoey. So everything sounds a bit weird. If you can get passed that, there's a bit of garage-rock from the Easter Island Statues, and great track from the new Male Bonding album, and the whole thing ends with a classic from Mogwai.
