Lessons for the Resistance Movement - Season 1, Episode 42
In this episode, we introduce the song talking about the intention of America's founders as they created America from the Boston Tea Party to the Constitutional Convention and introduce the discussion with the song "The People Declare". We decided to put together this podcast after watching Trump try to obtain the original declaration of independence but then couldn't tell the media what it meant to him. What the declaration means to most Americans is that we wanted self-rule but not by a tyrant, dictator or a monarch and that we were asserting our right for self-determination as a country and were revolting against control by the crown. We are still a part of this great experiment and the only way we keep our republic is if we fight for it and keep it out of authoritarian hands. We are still working on creating a more perfect union, currently this period, if we choose, could be: 1) a permanent capture of America by authoritarians against the aims of the great experiment and the great experiment is over and has failed or it could be a reckoning for Americans everywhere to wake up, declare once again that America, as our forefathers said, is no place to be ruled by tyrants but instead by the people to form a more perfect union!
