In times of anxiety we need a Savior and Jesus provides our hope and salvation. We always need to look to God and not to become shaken over the evils of the man. Our culture and society is in a great turmoil, now we need to seek those things of God.

Though Jesus did many miracles and showed undeniable proof of his being the true Messiah yet the nation did not believe on him but rejected Christ. Isaiah made this prophecy that God would judge them for their unbelief. Therefore they could not see, hear or understand lest they see and hear and confess. God now leaves them in unbelief that the promised Messiah should come and fulfill that prophecy concerning Christ.

Jesus is our light and life therefore we walk in the light and avoid the spiritual darkness of this world. Memorial Day is a day to remember our fallen heroes and to remember that we have freedom because others are willing to fight for that freedom. Another very important reason for our liberty is the Gospel of Jesus Christ for without that Gospel, our Country would not be the nation of freedom. We are the envy of the world and people flock to this country because of the freedoms we have as a Democratic Republic, with freedom of speech, freedom of religion and freedom to follow your dreams and know that you can obtain a life of peace and prosperity.

Jesus now prays and the Father again speaks out of heaven and confirms that Jesus would glorify the Father, and that Jesus would be glorified.

Certain Greeks-Gentiles came to Jerusalem to the Passover Feast and request an interview with Jesus. Let us consider the account and discover how Jesus answers these men are seeking to know more about the Lord. -He that loveth his life shall lose it- and he that hateth his life in this world shall keep it unto life eternal-. A prophecy is made by Caiaphas and that one man should die for that nation, and gather together in one, the children of God. Caiaphas wanted to kill Jesus and was the enemy of the Lord, yet did God give a prophecy to him that should be fulfilled unto the cross and suffering of Christ for the sins of the world.

Jesus raises Lazarus. Mary and Martha are grieving and mourners comfort them. Jesus come to Bethany four days late to heal Lazarus. Now this miracle ws for the glory of God, therefore did Jesus delay that he may show that he is the true Messiah of God.

Today we remember Good Friday reading and commenting on the Old Testament account. We will also consider the Lord's observance of the Passover as well as the Lord's Table now instituted by Jesus on what we traditionally view as Good Friday.
