Jesus now tells his disciples that they will be known as his friends. This new relationship is because Jesus has told them all things that he had received from the Father.

Jesus is the true vine and we are branches therefore are we to abide in the vine and bare fruit.

The Holy Spirit is given that we may be comforted and enjoy the blessing of the Spirit.

Jesus encourages his disciples for he knew of the trouble ahead. We also face trouble ahead as this pandemic continues to confront us on many levels. Consider this passage today and be encouraged in faith.

Jesus now speaks to his disciples more intimately and tells them now is He glorified. The hour of his suffering was nigh and he would accomplished those things that the Father in Heaven had sent him to do.

Jesus tells his disciples in the wake of being betrayed, I know whom I have chosen.

Jesus washed the disciples feet that they may know how to serve in humility and to be ministers to others. The servant is not greater than his lord therefore if Jesus served us and humbled himself for us then we ought to serve others also.
