Is your procrastination a stress-seeking behaviour? In today's episode we are digging into a topic I shared recently on TikTok... a topic that BLEW UP in terms of views and comments, and that I think it's well worth discussing in more detail. In my viral TikTok I offered the idea that if you are someone who has experienced trauma or chronic stress, you might be "addicted" to those feelings of stress and pressure... and you might be inadvertently creating stressful situations for yourself in the form of procrastination. Today I'm digging into this topic and offering you some realizations I've come to about my own struggles with procrastination and the tips that are having the most impact for my clients.

I think there is a big online business PURGE coming. I predict that over the next year or two, we are going to see a massive desaturation in the online business market... That's not because e-learning or the gig economy is going to decline, it’s because online business as we know it has changed forever. The days of being UNSKILLED & SELF-TITLED are over. The market is more saturated and more skeptical than it has ever been- and there is so much information about how to run an online business out there now that consumers know exactly what you’re doing when you market to them. They're also spoiled for choice- so if you are not providing something exceptional, they have no reason to buy from you... and they probably won’t. As consumers adjust to inflation and businesses prepare to weather a recession… Things are not going to look how they have- and that's what we're talking about today.

That said, it's been a little over four months since I last released an episode- and before we dive fully into the relaunch of this podcast, I thought it was important to take some time and record a more candid episode explaining why I stepped away earlier this year and what the last five years of business have looked like for me behind the scenes. It's taken me a long time to feel ready to share even this much- but if I've learned anything from my years in the online space, it's that sharing the tough stuff always helps someone in some way... and that's what this podcast is here to do. 

You’re driven, ambitious, and not afraid of a challenge. You have goals and dreams that not everyone understands- but you KNOW you can make them happen. There’s just one little thing- you’ve also got kids or caregiving responsibilities… and it turns out having big dreams and big responsibilities at the same time is REALLY hard.
