Gaming Ministry?

For many in the Church the idea of gaming (board games, video games, DnD) seems like a pathway to darker things. But this week we talk to a young pastor who has found a way of taking a passion for gaming and turning it into a way of interacting with the community to gain access to their hearts for Christ. “Game & Table” is a ministry led by Pastor Dallas Tharp. Why Parables?

Jesus spoke in parables to the crowds the began to follow him as the miracles grew and the message pierced the hearts of many. These parables spoke to the Church. They spoke to those who were hoping to follow. They spoke to the ones who had been left out. Those who were looking to harm him didn’t want to understand, so they did not. Parables - Good Samaritan?

When people think of the Christian religion they often think of a judgmental religion.  But the more we listen to Jesus the more we find that he wants to point to the disenfranchised as the ones who are doing what is right. Today we look at a conversation that Jesus had with a religious leader trying to justify themselves. Why Parables?

Atonement is one of those Christiany Christian words that can confuse as much as it clears up. The meaning of atonement from a religious perspective can be divider as well. Many denominations have their own variation of what atonement means. This weeks conversation is not meant to completely clear all of this up, or argue with anyone. Christian Perfection?

Are Christians perfect? Wow, saying they are would be a quick way to start an argument. A theologian named Charles Wesley used the term ‘Christian Perfection’ many years ago and in his day the blow back was incredible. It seems to be intuitive that no human is perfect on their own, but through Jesus we are made perfect. Rick and Todd discuss the topic this week and sure hope you will join us as we walk this out.

Is Jesus God?

In recent survey 43% of Christians agreed with the statement, “Jesus was a great teacher, but he was not God.” This set us to thinking, why do we think Jesus is God? Why is believing the Jesus is God an essential part of the Christian religion. This is not a new concept and disagreeing with it is not new either. We sure hope you will join us as we walk this out.
