We quite often mean well when trying to help others, however depending on the language we use can affect both effectiveness and also the experience we leave others with.  
If we consciously want to contribute, then our use of language is very important.  If you want to make a difference to others and find people not wanting to listen to you, it may well be the words you use are landing as ego rather than contribution.
