Ek Haneri Gutt is a beautiful short story which is in punjabi language and is written by the famous writer Amrita Pritam. It is symbolic representation of the past and present, traditional and modern, thesis and antithesis.  The 'munshi' named Dhan Raj has not become advocate Dhan Raj, with his sheer hardwork. Though he was already married to traditional and homely lady but he wishes to marry again to a modern lady as now he has become advocate.  

Thus, this tassel between two ends have made the Advocate Dhan Raj a pendulum who goes 'to and fro' between them and things turn upside down while he was trying to...
