Matthew 24:14, Acts 1:8, & Revelation 5:9–10  |  God promises not only that His gospel will be powerfully proclaimed to every nation/people group but that it will powerfully ransom people from every nation/people group as well.

Luke 10:25–37  |  Instead of trying to determine who our neighbors are, Jesus teaches that we should be neighbors ourselves to those in need of compassion and mercy in our lives.

1 Peter 1:22–25  |  God's call to sincere brotherly love among Christians is only possible if we both obey the truth and are transformed by the truth.

Romans 5:6–8  |  Loving God with our affections and actions is a Holy Spirit-enabled response to God's prior love demonstrated for us in the death of Jesus Christ.

 

1 Corinthians 15:1–5  |  Ekklesia's ambition is to be a Christ-centered community on mission to love and serve God, one another, our neighbors and the nations. This sermon shows how "Christ-centered community" means we strive to remind one another of who Jesus is and what He has done for us so that we persevere in genuine faith.

Mark 3:1–6  |  Jesus confronts the hard-hearted hypocrisy of the Pharisees by healing a man on the Sabbath.

Mark 2:23–28  |  Jesus redefines the Sabbath by proclaiming Himself as Lord over it.

Isaiah 9:2–7  |  God promised that great joy and full freedom would come through the given Son. However, the circumstances surrounding this Son's birth prove that God fulfills His promises in unexpected ways and through unlikely people.

Mark 2:21–22  |  Jesus calls for something new to replace—not combine with—something old. The old is the Law, which could only reveal our sin. The new way is grace in Christ, which has the power to forgive our sin.

Mark 2:18–20  |  Jesus gives His followers a new reason to fast: mourning His absence and longing for His presence.
