Today I will be talking a little about the first recorded High Priestess of our time, she was also one of if not the first author and poet of our time.

A great influence in all of Mesopotamia in the age of her father's reign King Sargon of Akkad, she influenced through her creativity, passion and sharp observations about Gods/Goddesses and celestial beings.

I'm of course talking about none other than Enheduanna herself, a woman very similar to the others in this season who has been pretty much erased out of our memories and history books over time. She was born in Akkad in 2286BC and died in the Temple of Giparu in 2251BC.

I will be talking about none other than Juana Ines de Asbaje or more known as Sor Juana Ines de la Cruz. A nun at a prominent church in Mexico at the time of the Spanish Golden Age!

A poet, an artist, a scholar, and most importantly a woman that changed and challenged societal views in the era of patriarchal blindness and double-standards!

Hey there, we are coming to the end of season 1 and so I had no choice but to speak a little bit about Harriet Tubman. 

She was an activist, an abolitionist, a nurse, a union spy, and last but not least a union scout in the civil war making her the first woman to lead a combat assault.  She spent her entire life being a humanitarian and helping fellow African-American people escape from slavery. Having grown up enslaved, to enslaved parents Harriet's life wasn't easy, she suffered for 30 years until she decided she would escape from the plantation she had been imprisoned in her entire life. Once she had escaped, there was no going back; here laid the foundation to what was to become one of the greatest stories of freedom in Maryland, USA.
