Evaluation enables instructional designers and course creators to improve the effectiveness of an eLearning lesson, course, or program, determining what worked well and what did not work so well.

Evaluation takes place prior to instruction, during instruction, and after instruction has taken place.

Learning Experience Design focuses on meeting the needs of learners through a holistic approach that considers cognitive science, user experience design (UX), the learning environment, and instructional design.
