Jemma, a former primary school senior leader, joined Elim in 2017 as the Ofsted Nominated Individual. She works with Elim’s Ofsted registered childcare settings, ensuring compliance with regulations and advising on childcare related matters. She also supports churches looking to establish new childcare settings.

How can we ensure our churches are safer places for all when ministering to sex offenders? This session will look at how we can use safeguarding agreements, liaise with statutory authorities and will address theological questions on forgiveness and reconciliation.

Simon Bass is Director of Church Safeguarding Consultancy. For over 20 years he has worked with churches across denominations, promoting safeguarding children and adults and advocating for survivors of abuse.

We will be looking at seeking greater accuracy, words of knowledge, the formation of prophetic ministers and prophets, as well as the relationship of prophets to leadership teams in local churches.

The session will include practical activation times.

All issues relating to pensions, including preparing for retirement, will be covered including a Q&A session. Alongside trustees of EMPF will be a representative from Spence & Partners, the EMPF Administrators and Actuaries.

Delphine comes from a background as a Financial Advisor, has been EMPF contact since 2006 and is now a full trustee. Malcolm has served as a trustee for over 20 years and been chairman since 2007. Robert is Elim’s Finance Director and served as a trustee for 20 years.

Gavin Calver is the Director of Mission at the Evangelical Alliance and the Chair of Spring Harvest. He has a burning passion to see the Gospel reach every person in the UK. Formerly the leader of Youth for Christ, Gavin is an ordained evangelist and regular public speaker, and has authored five books. Married to Anne, they have two children.
