  • What You Should Know About Skincare and Anxiety

Did you know that stress has an effect on your skin? Acne, skin rash, hives, rosacea, and dermatitis are potential ways the skin responds to anxiety and stress.

Today, I am speaking with Dawn Conley of Fresh Faces Skin Care. We discuss issues that those suffering from anxiety deal with regarding their skin care. Dawn is a licensed Esthetician in the state of Maryland and, the proud owner of Fresh Faces Skincare, a Columbia-based skin care salon. After suffering for years with teenage and young adult acne, she was struggling trying to find a solution to this very devasting condition. She tried everything over the counter available and visited several dermatologists but nothing seemed to help long term. She finally decided to try a chemical peel at a local plastic surgeon's office. And that’s where her story to become a licensed Esthetician began.

Please feel free to visit her website at freshfacesskincare.com, to learn more about her and Fresh Faces Skincare.

  • How Pain Can Affect Anxiety and Depression

Join Elisha's Space as we discuss with Dr. Eric Lindsell of Family Essential Chiropractic how pain can affect anxiety and depression. Dr. Lindsell practices and lives in Columbia, MD with his lovely wife Dawne, and his three children Brian, Jillian, and Brooke. He grew up in Monsey, New York (just outside New York City), and attended Northeastern University, in Boston, where he received a B.S. in Business Administration. Dr. Lindsell earned his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic West.  He enjoys exercising, camping, running, reading, hiking, watching old movies, and more.

Essential Family Chiropractic was started in 1999 by Dr. Eric Lindsell. Dr. Lindsell and his staff offer a complete range of chiropractic care in Columbia, Maryland, and physical therapy services focused on providing natural health care without drugs or surgery. A chiropractor uses spinal adjustments to correct misalignments (called subluxations) and restore proper function to the nervous system. This helps the body to heal naturally. Chiropractic doesn’t use drugs or surgery. Instead, a chiropractic spinal adjustment uses the application of a precise force to a specific part of the spinal segment correcting the misalignment.

There are many studies showing the benefits of chiropractic care for headaches, neck pain, low back pain, acid reflux, dysmenorrhea, ear infections, infantile colic, and many more issues.
