Mindfulness during the winter season is no different from mindfulness during any other season.
Let’s just bear in mind that each season brings different energies, and we must put in the adequate energy that each season requires.
How do we do that?
Let’s use this quote to help us
"Winter is the time for comfort, for good food and warmth, for the touch of a friendly hand and for a talk beside the fire: it is time for home." - Edith Sitwell
Weather we like winter or not, our wellbeing during winter is important.
Our mindfulness practice will really help us cope better with the shorter days.
So here are my 3 tips mindfulness exercises for youths wellbeing during winter.
Mindfulness Exercise #1 – Welcome darkness and light.
In this season we are invited by nature to appreciate the contradictions of life. We experience shorter days. Winter is here to remind us of joy and sorrow.
Exercise #2 – Gratitude and Mindful Eating
Guys, zillions of people are without food and drinking water. Lets use this winter season to carefully prepare our warm meal, seat down quietly, acknowledge how fortunate we are to have warm food and feel the pleasure while we slowly take the time to eat our food.
Exercise #3 - Slow Mindful Movement Practices
Things feel slow during the winter season, but we eat more, and we move less.
I therefore invite you to explore slow movements like yoga or stretching daily
That’s it my friends. I hope you enjoyed this livestream. You can also watch the video on youtube - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KhzheAvoTtk

The Pace Of Life Is Beginning To Quicken Once Again.
By fall 2021 most countries will be opening up.
Are we ready.
Hello my friends, welcome back to another livestream and podcast with me Ella.
Breath in with me; YES, Yes we made it!
Its summer vacation, YESSSSSSSSSSSSS
Smell the roses with me.
Its vacation…
This summer is an important opportunity for a break and to re-energize after 2 challenging years.
We may not be out of the woods yet but let’s
Breath in; and Breath out.
Here are my 3 Mindful Habits During 2021 Summer Vacation:
1) Communicate your worries and emotions to your family.
Very often we youths we lack words that indicate our worries.
What are you worried about? Tell your family.
It gets complicated when we try to express how worried we are and what our emotions are. But during vacation, everyone is relax and words will flow.
With love and respect for yourself and other, just say how you feel. Tell them
2) Focus on your breath
Whatever is happening around us, our nervous system is working in our favour. All we need to do is trust and breath
Please seat with me for a moment, palms together, just breath naturally.
3) Practice Gratitude
Think of one thing you are grateful for. Just one. Focus on that one and just be grateful for it.
I am sure there are many but take just one. Keep it to yourself.
You may want to keep a gratitude journal. Or just keep it secret in your heart.
Whatever that is, just stay in the state of gratitude.
