Luke 2:6 & 7

While they there, the time came for the baby to be born, and she gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She wrapped him in cloths and place him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn.

Sing along with these two verses of "The Friendly Beasts"

“I,” said the cow, all white and red,

“I gave him my manger for his bed,

I gave him hay to pillow his head

I,” said the cow, all white and red.

Thus all the beasts, by some good spell,

in the stable dark were glad to tell

of the gifts they gave Emmanuel,

the gifts they gave Emmanuel.

Luke 2:8-18

“I,” said the sheep with curly horn

“I gave him my wool for his blanket warm

he wore my coat on Christmas morn

I,” said the sheep with curly horn

Scripture Texts: Luke 2:1-15 In those days Caesar Augustus issued a decree that a census should be taken of the entire Roman world. (This was the first census that took place while Quirinius was governor of Syria.) And everyone went to their own town to register. So Joseph also went up from the town of Nazareth in Galilee to Judea, to Bethlehem the town of David, because he belonged to the house and line of David. He went there to register with Mary, who was pledged to be married to him and was expecting a child.

Zechariah 9:9 Rejoice greatly, Daughter Zion! Shout, Daughter Jerusalem! See, your king comes to you, righteous and victorious, lowly and riding on a donkey, on a colt, the foal of a donkey.

The Friendly Beasts - Camel Edition

Jesus, our brother, kind and good,

was humbly born in a stable rude,

and the friendly beasts around him stood,

Jesus, our brother, strong and good.

“I," said the camel with golden neck

I bore him treasure on my back

Gold and myrrh and frankincense

“I," said the camel with golden neck
