Elsie Cast

I interview the Music Director and Vocal Arranger from the soon-to-be Broadway show Be More Chill! We talk about what it means to be a Music Director, what it's been like working on an off-Broadway show that's also a viral internet hit, and how to get a show ready for a performance at Elsie Fest.

Enjoy!

It's Sounds From Elsie Fest 2018! I interview Kiki, Tori, and Bryce, then there's a singalong with last episode's Kenney Green from Marie's Crisis Piano Bar, and then highlights from Alex Newell, Joshua Henry, Sutton Foster and Darren Criss!

A touch of sunstroke plus recording issues made this year's Sounds From Elsie Fest a short one, but I hope it lets you enjoy (or relive) the festival.

Welcome to Season 3 of Elsie Cast!

Get psyched up for Elsie Fest with me and Kenney Green, one of two Marie's Crisis piano players who make the singalongs at Elsie Fest happen.

Back by popular demand, Jen is here to talk about Jeremy Jordan's recent concert, changes at Waitress, and the contest we'd like to see Nick Barasch and Etai Benson have at the next Elsie Fest.

And I have a few wise words for those who are waiting for Elsie Fest dates.

I talk to Andrea Koehling, Chief Coloring Officer of Coloring Broadway. We had a great time talking and came up with a splendid idea I think you're going to like.

I check off an item from the Elsie Cast bucket list by interviewing Nicholas Barasch, who is most recently known for playing Arpad in the 2016 revival of She Loves Me.

I gush at him, we gush together about various Elsie alums, and then Ingrid Michaelson sings Broadway. You'll have fun listening!

Also check out my new shop at TeePublic!

I interview Wicked Frozen writers Zoe Farmingdale and Toby Singer about their new off-Broadway show, finding a career in the arts, and what Wicked and Frozen have in common.

This is the fixed version and should work. Earlier technical difficulties are resolved. Thank you for your patience.

I interview Rise producing director Rosemary Rodriguez about her work on the show. Mostly we gush about Auli'i Cravalho.

Because obviously.

I talk to Ricky Winowiecki, CEO of Ann Arbor Tees about his long-standing relationship with Starkid, Darren Criss, Elsie Fest and Computer Games. Ann Arbor Tees has done merch for all four groups since 2011, and we got into the weeds about the technical aspects of providing merch for a group of crazy creative people.

Ricky also took me through the development of Elsie Fest merch from design to the merch booth, and tells me some of his favorite moments from the two Elsie Fests he's attended. If you are dying to know who designed the merch for each Elsie Fest so far, this is the podcast for you!

And don't miss the sale going on now until (probably) May at store.darrencriss.com! That sale includes official Elsie Fest merch!!!

For now, you can get your Elsie Cast merch at my shop on Zazzle, because I can't afford inventory, but as soon as I can, I'll be Team Ann Arbor Tees for sure!
