The University of Central Oklahoma (UCO) Certificate of Disaster Management program is designed to enhance analytic skills and emphasize the social, political, and administrative aspects of disaster management. With human and economic asset exposures and vulnerabilities increasing, reducing the impact of emergencies and disasters is crucial to societal well-being and sustainability in the 21st century. Designed to complement the strengths of more discipline-based graduate degree programs, the certificate is a valuable addition to those programs but is also offered as a standalone certificate for non-degree students.
