Ember Church Sunday Sermon

Picking up from right where God took us through Eric, it turns out that there is something that each of us can be all the time that amazingly attractional and transforming. You will want to experience the joy of this one in person!

Jesus healed many people and cast out many demons. Virtually all Christians pray for, and believe in, healing. Yet when was the last time that anybody saw anyone cast out a demon…or even try? What is going on here? And more deeply, why? Experience this sermon and experience a dimension of the "greater things" that we are supposed to be doing (with all the kooky stuff).

The most important thing we are supposed to do is grow in Christ. But each one of us is totally unique and different. So God takes each one of us on our own, tailored, unique journey to grow us the way He made us. So why don’t churches do that? Why do we think a one-size-fits-all journey actually works for anyone? Experience this Sunday and see how God has led Lake Samm to be able to help you in a way that is tailored precisely for you!!! (Try to hit this one live, it could lead to huge things…)

What is the Baptism in the Holy Spirit? What difference would it make in my life? Experience this message and experience one of the top 3 things God ever did for human beings.

What is your family like? Good, bad, dysfunctional? Contrast that with what you believe God wanted "family" to be. But then ask yourself a question: if God could've put me in a much "better" family, why didn't He? What if the answer is that He had something much better for you overall? What a family is not actually for our happiness, but rather according to his amazingly beautiful plan for you? Catch this one and watch your whole life take on wonderfully new meaning.

What if really connecting with other people in the deepest possible ways – even to the point of genuine Oneness – is much more important to us than we ever imagined. We are going to look at some amazing insights from recent research that takes our need to truly become one with one another to new levels. This is a bit of a “Blow Up Sunday” where we will have a message, but we will put the insight into action right then. It is going to be fun and important, and perfect for Labor Day. Can’t wait to see you then!

Becoming "real" in heart when what you expected does not describe your life.

Cognitive Dissonance: “the state of having inconsistent thoughts, beliefs, or attitudes, especially as relating to behavioral decisions and attitude change.” Does anything sum up our current culture more perfectly? If you want to know what the culture really is saying, and how we might interact with it, this is a don’t miss experience.
