Ember Church Sunday Sermon

In Luke 9:49-50, the disciples valiantly seek to protect Jesus' Name and Ministry but do not get the response from Jesus they expected. This Sunday we are looking at the implications of these surprising words from Jesus.

How many times, as a Christian, have you heard you have to die to yourself? In all those times do you actually know how to really do this? Experience and discover a totally obvious and easy way to not only die to yourself, but to let him shine through you more than ever before.

Married or not married. Happy or struggling. While looking at the model of marriage, we’ll explore how God intends the pursuit of oneness and intimate communication to empower all our relationships, change us for the better and make us shine.

Have you ever needed or wanted God to move for you or someone else with everything you have? Did it make you want to learn how to pray in a way that changed heaven and earth? Is that even possible? Be here this Sunday to become that kind of prayer!

Canon Andrew White answers questions from the audience at Lake Samm after his message "The Situation for Christians in Iraq"

With the U.S. battle against the Islamic State dominating headlines, Lake Samm will have an extraordinary opportunity to hear a firsthand perspective from Canon Andrew White, Chaplain of St. George’s Anglican Church in the heart of Baghdad, Iraq. Known as the “Vicar of Baghdad,” profiled by 60 Minutes, HBO’s News Program Vice, and countless others, he is arguably the most important Christian voice in the most dangerous part of our world. He is a courageous voice for the rapidly disappearing Christian population. These are life and death issues.

Have you really been one with someone else? Is it not the most incredible you’ve ever felt? Hear and experience how He actually does this, and feel how amazing it really is. You want to be there for this one, for it will be one of our incredible God experiences.

When you think of Outreach, what do you think of: Maybe it’s international missions, or maybe it’s some big church outreach to our community. The depths that God has revealed in this whole Essentials mini-series has been astounding. And yet again, this week He is yet again just blowing the top off of what Outreach really is. If you have ever been afraid of evangelism in the least, this one is for you!

Is the Word of God alive to you? When you pray do you experience His intimate presence? Be sure to catch this one because once you experience Him like this you will want this ever more!
