What is church supposed to be? We all know what it is, and we tend to think that what it is is what it’s supposed to be. But what if God had something entirely different in His heart and mind? What if He means to be a time where we gather together to wrestle, together, with really discovering and then entering into whatever He is leading us to? What if church is supposed to be a Critically Important Journey that we are all taking together? Where we need every person to bring their particular gift/insight/piece? What if God intended church to be an incredibly wonderful time to experience Him, together? An incredible experience where we His Kingdom comes, and His Will is done! Experience this, to experience that!

What would be the goal of a church if you did it as a true family, versus if you do it as organization? Turns out all the difference in the world! Bottom line, it is so easy to criticize how we do church in America, but not so easy if we actually do it His way… Experience this message and feel the “aha” and “ahhhh” of what He intends.

I often think of worship as the 20ish minutes that we spend as a community singing to God. We all know that is a microcosm of worship, and have probably heard "worship is the whole of your life." What does God expect worship to look like for us though? When you're going through something very difficult, what is worship? Joyful and defiant of our circumstances or is there room for anger, pain, frustration or uncertainty? Is it just a remembrance of the good times and a suppression of what's difficult for us? I'm certain this will challenge you to think differently about your relationship with God and grow your faith.

Is Good Leadership Enough?

In Luke 8, Jesus invites the disciples to go for a boat ride that turns into a desperate fight to survive a powerful storm and, in the midst of it all, the guys have a life-changing encounter with the God of the universe. Does God want to empower us simply to get tasks done? What's in it for us?!? Well, everything.

Do demons really exist? Don’t we now understand that all those “deliverance” stories were really just people suffering from psychiatric problems? What about the weird places that people take all this, is that really what the Word has to say?
