It’s been a few months but we will be back with a new episode to be released every last Friday of the month. 

 

For this episode, I am chatting to Katherine Kimber. She is a Private Online Dietician, Certified Intuitive Eating Counsellor and runs an amazing company called Nude Nutrition.

 

We chat about her journey with her own body image as well as her experience of studying dietetics. We also go into really interesting detail about the definition of ‘health’ and how food is only really a tiny piece of the pie!

Welcome to episode 15 and my conversation with Dr Ieuan Cranswick.  

Dr Ieuan is a Sports Therapist and Senior Lecturer in Sports and Exercise Therapy. 

He is also involved in lots of research centred around body image, injury psychology, masculinity, steroids and muscle dysphoria 

We discuss male body image and how conditions such as muscle dysmorphia can affect the lives and mental health of those that suffer. He also shares his personal journey with regards to his own body image

Join myself and Kim (aka Kim On Skin) for a discussion about Body Dysmorphic Disorder. Kim spoke to me about her struggles with compulsive skin picking, how she manages her self-image and her recovery journey. She also shared some really interesting insight on the potential problems with the term 'cured', as well as self-diagnosis and whether a formal diagnosis is necessary for recovery.

Join me and Becca King; a Dietician who specialises in helping those with ADHD heal from disordered eating. 

We discuss Becca's own experience of having ADHD and recovering from disordered eating, as well as how she works with her own clients. We also discuss how ADHD can often lead to a binge/restrict cycle. Becca shares some of the ways you can try and break away from this and practise self-care, especially when executive functioning feels really overwhelming.

Join me and the awesome Charlie Josephine for a discussion about gender, sexuality, body image and eating disorder recovery. They were a pleasure to interview and had so many thoughtful and insightful things to say about how we relate to our bodies, especially in terms of our relationship with sex and pleasure.
