Happy New Year! In the first episode of 2022 Katie sits down with storyteller, content creator, and TikTok star Elyse Myers. Katie and Elyse recount the story that made Elyse go viral and share their mutual love of, you guessed it, Taco Bell. Elyse explains that she’s been telling stories her whole life and found that people connected with that. As someone struggling with anxiety, she discovered that she wanted to create a mental health middle ground space with her videos to allow people to relate to those experiences. They both agree that hearing something you’ve heard a million times from people in your life in a new way, from someone outside of your situation can sometimes feel like it’s meant for you. Katie asks Elyse how she deals with judgement and being overwhelmed by the quickness of her success.
