The main point of the metanarrative of Scripture is that God has redeemed a people though the Person and Work of Christ. This redemptive work is promised in Genesis and progressively revealed throughout Scripture until this redemption is accomplished by Christ on the cross. This redemption is now being applied by the Holy Spirit until the end where the people of God redeemed from every nation, kindred, tribe, and tongue will gather around the throne and worship the Lamb.
