Emo Trash

It's here!!!! The final part of our Simpsons Extravaganza with Solidarity Club Records!!! It was a blast, but all good things must come to an end.  Hope ya enjoyed us talking about the simpsons! According to our numbers some of ya actually did, and that's just wild.

Anyway, definitely check out Solidarity Club records if ya haven't yet. And stay tuned for whatever weird thing we decide to do next! Now that we're over 50 episodes in on the main eps I think it's time to step up our game, and by that I mean our trashness.

Thanks for reading all this and listening to the entire series! It's incredible to me that you care that much about what we have to say, or are even interested at all. You rock so freakin hard!!!! :)

A new era of emo trash is upon us!!! And we're starting off with a super sick episode on the self titled Gorillaz record! We're talking all about musical exploration and what it means to make art and we're doing it with the absolutely wonderful Alicia of Ganser! This episode is gosh darn cool and my mind gets blown multiple times on what it means to make art. Like seriously y'all, this episode was eye opening, so I hope you get as much out of it as I did!

Definitely go check out Ganser and their awesome record "Just Look At That Sky" if ya haven't yet because it is SO GOOD. They're gonna take over the world purely by being badasses and that really does come through in there music.

ALSO YOU MAY HAVE NOTICED A NEW THEMES SONG????

OHHHHHHHHHHHHH YEAH. Futura Free was kinda and awesome enough to make this song for us on a whim after I made a joke tweet about how bands should write about emo trash instead of their ex's. I love it so so so much and it truly captures our vibe and I love it. So we decided to use it! It will be our theme for the foreseeable future so the biggest shoutout ever to Futura Free for just being awesome as heck and making awesome stuff. Go check them and their new record out!!!

RIP to Sleep Schedule by Future Teens which will forever live on in our hearts and in past episodes.

Thank you for reading all of this! As you can see, some things are changing, and as exciting as that is it's always a little scary. Switching the theme song feels monumental, like it must be fully justified. But honestly I just wanted to share this really cool thing I love with all of you, and that's the entire basis for emo trash really. Thanks for being someone I am excited to share cool stuff I love with, you rock :)

It's time for part 4!!!! We're still talkin Simpsons with resident Simpsons expert Gregory for Solidarity Club Record! This is a bit of an intense episode as we talk about the classic Homers Enemy, aka homophobia personified. We joke around and have fun but also attempt to break this episode and what it means down, especially because it can TRULY be so much to handle at times. But we have fun! Of course we do!

If you've managed to still avoid checking out Solidarity Club Records, well that's okay as long as you're not being a jerk about it! Go check them out now, they're great!

Stay tuned for the FINAL part of our Simpsons Extravaganza!!! Coming soon!

It's a really good and weird time talking about a really good and weird record! And we're doing it with Bob from Hornbill who is awesome as heck! If you haven't checked out Hornbill and their super sick tunes yet go check them out! They have two super awesome singles out from an upcoming debut LP and they are very much inspired by the very record we're talkin about today! Despair is a freakin JAM

It's finally time to discuss the almighty anxiety attack that is WORRY by Jeff Rosenstock. I literally COULD not be more excited as this record is one of my favorites possibly of all time, and we very much get into how much every single delivery on the record freakin CRUSHES ME, BUT, we also have a guest to keep me from getting TOO off track. And that guest is none other that Caleb from Hey, ILY, Rookie Card, Gray Joy, and the Invertabrates! Oh yeah, they really do it all, INCLUDING CHAT ABOUT WORRY!!!! It's a very fun time and they are a truly wonderful guest, so hope ya enjoy!

Also go check out all their wonderful project and their great tunes! Hey, ILY's newest EP Internet Breath is WILDLY good and deserving of all the attention!!! They're going to take the world by storm, so it's probably a good time to get on board!

It's not in your head. It's here, for your ears, and it's Emo Trash!!! And that's just a TASTE of the nonsense that you will get to experience on this wonderful episode of emo trash with Maciej of Paper Boats! Paper Boats is an absolutely lovely little tape label but Maciej does stuff literally ALL AROUND the scene so you've probably run into them even if ya don't know it!

Regardless, we're here talking about Somewhere City and that's WILD AND EXCITING!!!! It's a really fun and silly time and I hope ya enjoy! We talk about the rollout of Somewhere City and what it was like being there for something we knew was going to be BIG. Gami Gang.

Thank you so much for reading this! You're catching me at a time where I've finally gotten a chance to relax and take a breather since school ended and I am having more fun with emo trash than I have in a while!!! And it's honestly always been at least a bunch of fun haha. But right now is just reminding me how much I love that I have emo trash in my life and that it's whatever I (and the other members of emo trash) want or need it to be. I'm rambling, but it makes me very happy and I like expressing that. And thanks for listening! Your rock :)

Part 2 is finally here!!! We're still talkin all about the Simpsons with the one and only Gregory from Solidarity Club Records (and Rat Fancy and Nailpolishh). On this ep we're talkin about some CLASSIC Simpsons episodes including You Only Move Twice and Homerpalooza.

That's right, IT'S HANK SCORPIO TIME

Go check out and support Solidarity Club Records and all their super sick cassette tape releases!

Thank you for reading all this! I'm a big fan of these series of eps and I hope you are too! Idk but a get a weird sense of satisfaction and intimacy from these last little paragraphs. They're a nice last touch before sending these episodes into the world, one last little space that just belongs to emo trash for one more moment. But then it's yours. Thank you, you rock :)

It's a new episode of Emo Trash! and it's a Wild One! This episode we're talking about Tyler, the Creator, specifically his second record Goblin. We're chatting with Leave Nelson B who knows this record inside and out and Robin and I get a pretty awesome crash course in Tyler, the Creator lore. This episode also really gets into identity and growing up and what it means to make art while still figuring yourself out and I think it's really good and interesting and I hope you like it too.

Anyways, go check out Leave Nelson B's incredible music and their podcast Tellin' w/ Ellen! They make just tons of awesome stuff and deserve your full attention. They also have a ton of really awesome stuff coming out soon so get on board now!

SO GET HYPED! and as always, thank you for being awesome enough to read all these little blurbs, you rock :)

It's time for a new series of Garbage Disposal episodes wouldn't you say? Well, we've got a WILD one for you this time. Gregory from Solidarity Club Records came on the pod to chat all about the Simpsons and band and the themes they often share!!! Yeah, it's weird! But basically, we watched a bunch of Gregory's favorite episodes and are gonna chat about them and the Solidarity Club bands they remind them of. It's a good, Simpsontastic time! Also I learn that I kinda love the Simpsons, and that's pretty cool.

This episode is all about the CLASSIC Simpsons episode "Homer's Enemy" So oh yeah, we're talking about the American Dream.

And get ready for part 2, coming soon!!!

HUGE shoutout to Gregory for coming on the pod and running Solidarity Club records, one of the coolest labels around. Go check them and all their incredible music out! And check out their own musical projects Rat Fancy and Nailpolishh.
