Bane professor chair and head of the department of medicine and the associate dean for strategic initiatives and an associate program director for the medical scientist training program at the University of Illinois at Chicago. She is a physician scientist focusing on the microbiome and immune-mediated pulmonary diseases including sarcoidosis, transplantation, lung injury and asthma.
