Listeners, we are back! And we are breaking down our W2s, our 1099s, and the best way to not pay your taxes.
Did you know your taxes are loans to the US government to fund genocide around the world? Despite the history of "no taxation without representation", most American's agree that their taxes are clearly not funding what they need (healthcare, infrastructure, food security, housing, roads) with little representative recourse available in politics. We talk the options of to file or not file, how and what to claim to not pay the government, and what possible consequences exist for tax fraud and evasion.

Hey yall, we're back! This episode, we're exploring the intersection of the experience God and the nervous system. Many of us have some kind of religious or spiritual trauma, but what does that mean for our intuition? How do we continue to stay connected to our magical and divine spirit? We answer this question, and also make a few jokes a long the way.
Thanks as always for listening, and for your support as we continue to find the time and energy to organize, record, and edit the pod. Stay tuned for our next two episodes (already recorded!) coming next month <3

This week, emotional labor exposes our algorithm and gets chronically online. From influencers on instagram to your myspace top 8, the internet has always provided a place and platform for people to expose their very private information for data mining. Tune in to hear us reminisce on our earliest online memories and ask the hard questions likelike is tiktok bad, actually? and how does the internet change our perspective of time and connection? Plus, listen for a very fun and cool voicemail from haylin's adolescent internet archive.
RIP Ted Kaczynski, you would have loved this episode but you'd probably never listen to a podcast

What's up with wages? Seriously, what's up with wages? Like, have you ever noticed how the jobs that pay the least per hour also tend to be the most taxing and degrading kinds of labor? Or how charging more money/having higher wages makes people like and respect you more as a human being? Or how you can do the exact same labor and make 10x more doing it if you're working specifically and directly for rich people? One time I met a guy who got paid 70k to follow the CEO around and tell him his ideas were good. What the fuck is up with that?

Listen, we get it, you thought teen Simba was hot and you haven't been sure what to do with that and what that means. Or, maybe you figure out long ago. This week, we unpack the animal that is desire, and all the interesting, nuanced, sexy ways we tell stories of power and pleasure. Major spoilers and discussion around the anime Beastars, a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Paru Itagaki, available on N**flix.
Brutus and Caesar, Judas and Jesus, Serena and Blair, Tony Soprano and Christopher Moltisanti, Eve and Villanelle. We know the story; best friends to enemies. But how come this destructive relationship pattern is so pervasive? And how do you even know who your “real” friends are? This week, emotional labor unpacks friendship, vulnerability, power structures of intimacy, and the phenomena of hurting the ones we love.

One year since March Madness was cancelled, since the infamous "Imagine" cover, since experiences of people, places, and things. Yes, it has been one year since America went into lockdown, and we have been in some version of quarantine since then. Literally as we write this, Italy has recently entered a second Lockdown due to COVID-19 variants. We talk about where we were on Friday the 13th of March 2020, and all the pleasurable things about life we are missing and dreaming about. It's agony, it's ecstasy, it's emotional labor.
