There is none more suited to mark our landmark 50th mix and be first into the fray this new year than 29Legionz. Beyond being an excellent DJ and producer with even better taste, 29L has been an extremely welcome and proactive member of EMP and more often than not serves as its backbone by hosting our regular livestreams. This is of course in addition to his involvement with Tampa label and collective SUM R&R and any number of other deserving communities. The guy’s an all around MVP and gentleman.

This adventurous set embodies what I like most about just about all of it: skillfully woven, multi-genre, wandering versatility that all works so seamlessly together to build something entirely (and impressively cohesively) new. Every track contextualizing, every mix with the right amount of contrast and tension, uncompromising bangers all the way through. It’s a bold, risky, and professionally outstanding mix. If you don’t fuck with this, I don’t know what to tell you.
