Every time I fall down a 140 bandcamp rabbit hole, Reap_Eat / Divided Eye has beat me to it. An eye or two always staring out from the 'supported by' section. A tireless explorer and supporter of up and coming dubstep, Reap_Eat's been in and out of EMP Radio orbit for years. Along with Hellacopta, WYRaM, and myself (CaptHz), he's also a fellow revenant of UC Davis' long dead Technocultural Studies program. Together again with the recent Twitch push, Reap_Eat's current setup isn't conducive to streaming. That's been all the more motivation to get our podcast series rolling again, and I think it's the perfect platform to bring you this mix of deep, rumbly dubstep. This one's for the 140 fam for sure.

Picking up right where we left off some 5 years ago, EMP Radio's mix series is back with an unrepentant, full speed stomper from Alex Viper. A lot has changed for us in the last half a decade. And a lot hasn't.

Alex Viper pulls from a wide library of floor moving tracks, cutting with ease from genre to genre and always keeping the audience on their toes. Their sets can range in tempo and style, but always are energy-filled with eye opening mixes sure to make memories on the dancefloor. In Brooklyn, they co-run events Underground Raveroad (a series dedicated to all things Black music) and Tackycardia (for all sounds 150+ BPM). This mix addresses a new beast – techno.
