Clarice Jackson is the founder of Voice Advocacy Center in Omaha NE where she serves as the Executive Director of the Literacy and Dyslexia Screening and Teaching Program. She also serves as a Councilwoman for The Learning Community of Douglas and Sarpy County. She is a sought-after national presenter on the topics of dyslexia, black literacy matters and special education advocacy. She wrote a national resolution on dyslexia as the NAACP Ed Chair in 2014 and uses her platform to change the narrative surrounding literacy. –

Terrie’s greatest strengths lie in the ability to motivate, inspire, and create enthusiasm in others to be passionate educators that support the diverse needs of students. Terrie serves as the Vice-President of Educator Initiatives for Learning Ally where she works to develop engagement programs, professional learning services and communities for educators. Her passion is working with educators to create dynamic classrooms and recognizing educators in their tremendous efforts. She has more than 25 years of experience as both a motivational leader and developer of content for educators and administrators. Terrie’s focus for the past six years has been on the pedagogical practices needed to create effective environments for struggling readers and students with dyslexia. She has the opportunity to lead and facilitate groups numbering in the thousands helping to build better understanding of working with struggling readers and students with dyslexia.
Terrie is certified as an Academic Language Practitioner and is currently working towards a Ph.D. in Literacy, with an emphasis in Educational Leadership from St. John’s University.

About Mrs. Rachel Berger: Assistive Tech Specialist / Dyslexia and LD Community Leader / Rachel is the Executive Director of Decoding Dyslexia Minnesota, a nonprofit dedicated to educational advocacy and an advocate for students with learning disabilities. In that role for the past 7n years, she has worked with legislators on improving policy to benefit students with dyslexia and their educator needs. She serves on the Higher Education Literacy Partnership in MN. In addition, Rachel works with Microsoft Education as a dyslexia assistive tech specialist helping to train educators and students in using assistive technology to remove barriers and empower students to reach their full educational potential.

About Shawn Anthony Robinson Phd :
Shawn Anthony Robinson Ph.D. is a husband and father to Jeremiah and Ezekiel. Dr. Robinson serves on the Board of Directors with the International Dyslexia Association, Senior Research Associate in the Wisconsin's Equity and Inclusion Laboratory at the University of Wisconsin Madison, and an international and national educational consultant His research focuses on the intersection of race and dyslexia and has over 40 peer-reviewed publications, which has been widely disseminated.
He is also the co-author of the graphic novel Doctor Dyslexia Dude. Dr. Robinson has received several distinguished honors throughout his early career such as: 2019 membership to the Diversity of Scholars Network (University of Michigan); the 2017 Alumni Achievement Award (New Trier High School Alumni Hall of Honor); the 2016 Outstanding Young Alumni Award (University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh); a 2015 fellow for the 8th Annual Asa G. Hilliard III and Barbara A. Sizemore Research Institute on African Americans and Education (American Educational Research Association); attendee at the 2013 Achievement Gap Institute (Vanderbilt University Peabody College of Education and Human Development); and 2005 Educator of the Year Award (All State Insurance, Chicago, IL).

Debbie Meyer is a founding member of the Dyslexia (Plus) in Public Schools Task Force, a small group of community leaders working to help students with dyslexia and related language-based disabilities thrive in their neighborhood schools.
In 2018 she was named as an A'leila Bundles Community Scholar to look at the intersection of dyslexia and mass incarceration and the role of universities in changing the trajectory of struggling readers. Debbie’s lengthy professional career is in nonprofit management and fundraising. She lives in Central Harlem with her [dyslexic] husband and son.
