In this powerful and vulnerable episode, I sit down to share the raw truth of what it’s like navigating motherhood with four children - while also managing the emotional, mental and logistical load of raising a medically complex child.
I share about the feelings of isolation and loneliness that we sometimes feel, even when we're surrounded by people. And the silent moments where the world keeps spinning, but your own feels like it’s paused in a loop of appointments, therapies, advocacy and survival.
From middle-of-the-night seizures to moments of heartbreaking misunderstanding in social spaces, I share more about how important it is to normalize the mental and emotional weight on this journey. To speak about our thoughts and feelings. To share the hard - but at the same time, continue to figure out how NOT to live there.
I also dive in deeper to the importance of continuing to show up for yourself and as yourself - learning the power of transparency and forgiveness for the learning journey. Because after all - we are learning along the way as moms, too.
This episode is a rally cry for moms feeling like they’re drowning in a world that doesn’t always see or understand the full story. A very real dilemma we all manage in some way shape or form as we work through our own battles.
Let this be a reminder that your mental and emotional health matters, that your voice is vital and that you are not alone in the fight for inclusion, support and healing.
