This is such a crucial part of teaching. We only have a limited amount of energy to give and when we focus on what we can't control all of the time, we give our power and energy away.
I know that this episode will help you reflect on where your energy is currently going.

This week I speak about the components of Emotional Intelligence and why we need a high EQ as teachers and leaders.
Self awareness and self regulation are two very important aspects that are often not spoken about in education. When I began building upon these skills my whole life changed, including that of the classroom.
If you are interested in learning more about how you can improve your EQ, I have a masterclass available called EQ for Educators. You can purchase it HERE
If you're an aspiring leader or a current teacher mentor or middle leader and you'd like to learn more about EQ and the role it plays in leading yourself before you can lead others, attend my free Masterclass 'Lead From Within' you can REGISTER HERE
The 'overwhelm' trap can be a common one to fall into when becoming a teacher. The reality is teaching can be mentally and emotionally draining and each year more and more admin falls into our laps. Student behaviour can be challenging to work with you if you don't understand how to support your children. I get it! It can be a lot!
This episode will help you pinpoint where your overwhelm might stem from, so you can identify what's going on for you and determine how you can move forward.
