Is there a time when a wise person should not attempt to correct someone? According to Proverbs 9:7-9 (and Matt. 7:6), there are some people that you should not attempt to reprove, correct or teach and we need discernment to know the difference.

Proverbs 6:12-19 helps us get to know God's heart and informs us about specific heart based behaviors at are opposite of God's character. We must hate these thoughts, patterns, desires and behaviors when we see them in ourselves. Let's look at the seven things God hates and contrast them with what we know God loves.

Proverb 6 has been a series of warnings from a Teacher/Father to his son. This week we will look at his warning about "a man of Belial" - a wicked person. They exist and the Teacher will describe this kind of person so that he/she can be identified. The things he does, the LORD hates.
