Don Majillo is known for his extremely fast trigger, and precise accuracy. You have probably seen him blazing down a cold start drill with a berretta, but he is also a leader amongst Law Enforcement, and veterans. Don believes in the right thing, and living that out on a daily basis, his social media accounts have grown because he shows his genuine personality and tireless work ethic. In part 1 he goes into his beginnings as well as his time in the Marine Corps, and how he earned his purple heart. The gun community is better off having guys like Don around to set the standard, and drive Law Enforcement forward during uncertain times. If you aren't following Milspec Mojo make sure you head over and do so at the link below. Part 2 will be published soon so make sure you tune into that as well.
He is the only shooter to win every area match, then cap it all off with a National Title, and his encore act was just as impressive repeating as the National Champion in the open division, all before his 21st birthday. Christian is young, but has the work ethic and skill of someone very senior in life, he jumped into the scene in 2018 and climbed all the way to the top in 2019, and hasn't looked back. Even with the early accomplishments he maintains a down to earth and humble attitude, and doing the right thing is always his priority. This episodes jumps into what Christian thinks of the future, his journey, and what his next goals are. Christian is as fun to be around as it is fun to watch him shoot. We can't wait to see where he ends up in the future, and it was truly an honor to sit down with him! If you aren't following him make sure you head over to his page and do so!

Shooting is only half the battle when it comes to trying to attract new shooters on social media, and the other half is camera work and editing skills. I got to sit down with 2 of the best media creators within the gun community. Chad and Charles from Trex have a passion for education as well as creation. For the 2nd amendment to continue being protected, gun rights advocates must adapt, and use technology to their benefit. CJ got the chance to talk to the leaders in content creation out in Tennessee. As gun rights supporters we are grateful guys like this are on our side, to help show the great side of training. Each guy has a different story and journey, but recently they've teamed up to take the gun content creation by storm. If you don’t follow Chad or Charles make sure you do, links below.

Empty Brass is honored to welcome back the CEO of Trex-arms Luckas Botkin. There is no question that Lucas is a polarizing figure within the gun industry, but despite his biggest critics he has always been committed to doing the right thing based on his convictions. 2020 has been a wild ride for all of us, and we asked Lucas to find out how the lock down and riots impacted things at Trex-arms, as well as what they had done to prepare for incidents like these before hand. Lucas has always been an advocate of civilians owning basic kit, including a helmet, plate carrier, and night vision (if affordable) which has been heavily criticized by some for "larping'. Its fair to say that during the summer when every major city as well as smaller ones were rioting and burning the need for this basic kit became clear. Lucas stood by this position, and in our opinion was vindicated over the summer, and Lucas shares his opinion on what it was like to be right in an overwhelming way. Lucas continues to lead through these quickly changing times, and it was our pleasure to have him as guest for a second time. He doesn't need an introduction, or list of accomplishments all you need to hear is the name Jerry Miculek. He may be the best practical shooter of all time, after dominating the revolver division for over 2 decades, he recreated himself in the quickly growing sport of 3-gun. CJ sat down with Jerry again on season 2, and got his take on all of the twists and turns that 2020 has brought thus far. They also went down some parts of Jerry's career as well as discussed his father-in-law Jim Clark Sr who owned and operated Clark custom guns. This year has been a roller coaster, and Jerry talks about some of his struggles getting motivated to train, mostly due to the fact that many matches have been cancelled. It is truly an honor having Jerry on Empty Brass for the second time, and its hard to really express the our gratitude. Jerry is not only one of the most talented shooters in the world, he is a genuine stand up man's man. He believes in being competitive, doing the little things, and above all else winning. Jerry has adapted and continued to find ways to win, and also remained a shining example of what every shooter should strive to be both on the range and off. Empty Brass has been beyond fortunate to sit down with many of the leaders from different areas of the gun industry, but this episode holds a special place. Make sure you follow Jerry on Instagram if you don't already.
In this episode of Empty Brass CJ sits down with a recently retired, and former Green Beret Jeremiah Wilber. Jeremiah shares the story of his Army career and how he was able to accomplish the rare achievement of not only his Special Forces tab, but his ranger and sapper tabs as well. Its hard to express just how rare that is, and also the amount of perseverance and determination it would take to accomplish that task. Jeremiah had a long and honorable career in the Army, including some very unique and interesting jobs within the army. He shares a little bit of that story and how his Native American heritage fueled his success. The guys also talk about the power of CBD, especially when it comes to veterans. They also discuss all the current political topics, and how some of the lessons learned in the military that could be applied. They also share their mutual mission of helping others, and how he plans on paying it forward in the next chapter of his life. Jeremiah is a rare breed of warrior and hippy that our volatile world could use a lot more of in these trying times. Make sure you go and follow Jeremiah on Instagram!

Joe Farewell is no stranger to Empty Brass and it is only fitting that this is his 3rd time on the show, him being a 3 gun shooter. Joe was teaching a course in Colorado so the guys had a chance to sit down once again. A lot has changed in the world since Joe was last on Empty Brass, and the guys discuss life post Covid 19 for shooters as well as law enforcement. It is always a privilege to discuss current topics with Joe, as well as discuss the ins and outs of shooting topics. In this episode of Empty Brass both guests are returners, and sit down with CJ and talk about practical shooting after Covid. As has everything in this world, practical shooting will look a little different post coronavirus. Charlie Perez and Matt Galant have a plethora of shooting experience and a passion that goes beyond practical shooting. They both give their take on what this season may look like, and some of the impacts. The guys also take a deep look into Red dots and parallax specifically. Make sure you go and check out episodes 13 and 6 with Charlie and Matt if you haven't listened to them yet. It was an honor to bring back these high level shooters and chat about the rest of the 2020 season and more.

Empty Brass welcomes JJ Racaza, who is truly one of the most elite and respected shooters in history. JJ's story starts in the Philippines, where he learned to shoot with his dad teaching as well as not accepting anything less than excellence. An unlikely kid set his mind to being the best he possibly could be. His journey led him to many places including working for DHS, and taking a year off to care for his children while his wife worked in a different location thousands of miles away. There is much more to the story that we encourage you to research, including opening up a gun store in Las Vegas. Last year was JJ's first year back after taking the year off and he recently signed with team Berretta. Eli and CJ got a chance to sit down with JJ and take a break from the chaos of the Shot Show floor. The guys discuss how they define success when it comes to shooting as well as how those tools translate to the rest of life. JJ has seen his ups and downs, and he talks about how he deals with the downs along with helping others. JJ truly represents the gun community with grace and tenacity, but always keeping a friendly and approachable attitude. This is an episode you truly won't want to miss. Having JJ on Empty Brass was truly a honor, and a great time! Make sure you follow Eli and JJ on Instagram

Empty Brass is back after a hiatus, and on this episode CJ sits down with Jim Krantz. Jim is a young and talented shooter from Minnesota. The guys got a chance to link up in Wyoming right before the travel bans went into effect. Jim is a member of Mac Defense, and will be shooting a mac glock this year in carry optics. Jim has already made it to master class in Carry Optics, and he's just getting started. The guys discuss all the usual equipment and politics in the firearms community. The time this episode was recorded was at the very beginning of the travel ban when much was still unknown. We are in a different place now with coronavirus then when this episode was recorded. Jim is an awesome example of how men should represent themselves in the gun industry, and he will accomplish anything he wants to going forward. Make sure you check out Jim's Instagram account along with Mac Defense and Atlas gunworks.
