Millennial Dominic Lyons talks with Emunah Co-hosts Charisse and Tamara about the obligation millennials have to vote. Studies show that major concerns of millennials are high student loan debts, the cost of living, inflation, gun violence and climate change.

Also this election year is important because of the possibility of having a black woman run this country. And, many millennials are seeking key roles in government. For example, former president Donald Trump's running mate, J.D. Vance, is the first person from the millennial generation to run on a U.S. major party presidential ticket. Vice President Kamala Harris, who is seeking the Democratic presidential nomination, acknowledges that young voters are key and their votes must be earned.

"Here's a big reason why we need to vote," Dominic says. "We've been put here on assignment. Jesus was put here on assignment to SAVE the world. Moses was given the assignment to LEAD the Israelites out of Egypt to freedom and Joshua was tasked to LEAD the children of Israel into the Promised Land.

"Yes, You need to VOTE. It's your assignment," he stressed.

"We are empowered to obey Him. We obey Him in everything we do, even when it's not easy, even when it's difficult. We have to obey. I may not like it, it may be uncomfortable but because I'm empowered to live and walk the way Christ wants me to live and walk, I'm going to do it," he said, later adding that empowered meant "In His power - the power living inside of us."

He offered a few ways to feel more empowered in life:

A. We must clarify our core values and beliefs.

B. We must set meaningful goals.

C. We must use positive self-talk.

Oklahoma sisters Jazlyn and Yasmine take a bold step and invite their mother to be a special guest on the episode. They peppered each other with questions and discussed "Yay or Nay" scenarios dealing with situations that require thought and wisdom. Did they differ in their answers? Listen and see! The girls' mother LaKeisha is a licensed Professional Counselor in Oklahoma, Texas and Wisconsin. She earned a Bachelor's Degree from Langston University and a Master's Degree from Mid America Christian University.

Emunah Co-hosts Charisse and Tamara talk with Dr. Wanda Robinson Lee about her work as a Life Coach in North Carolina. A life coach is a type of wellness professional who helps people make progress in their lives to attain greater fulfillment. Dr. Wanda, as she is affectionately called, incorporates a Christian perspective in her work.

"For me, it's a joy meeting the people and sharing with them and letting them know that God has a better way. God has a plan for them, for their life," she tells Tamara and Charisse.

Her wide-ranging career also includes 4 1/2 years of experience as an adjunct instructor at Johnson Community College in Smithfield, North Carolina, and a dedicated Volunteer Chaplain at Johnson Health. Emunah Co-hosts Tamara and Charisse tackle the tough subject of obedience. They examine various examples in the Bible, including the Jewish midwives who trusted God and defied the king's order to kill all male babies born to Israelite women and Jesus' disciple Peter who obeyed insignificant requests.

The hosts concluded that obedience to God gives us entry into all He has for us, opens doors of His blessings and keeps us in His will. By obeying, we stay in tune with God and are given all the power of God.

Other benefits of obedience are:

1. We become God's friend.

2. We know God's will.

3. We bear good fruit (our lives produce positive results such as peace, prosperity, and contentment).

4. We find power for continued obedience.

5. Our prayers are answered.

Prophet Goodwin gives his testimony in this episode after last week sharing with Emunah listeners his insight into "What it means to 'Live' for Jesus Christ": Episode 42, Season 3.

Prophet Goodwin was born in Charleston, South Carolina and called to the Ministry by Yahweh God of Abraham, Isaac and Israel to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ around 2008. He says his ministry began after having a dream that repeated three times in a row. In the Dream the Lord of Heaven was heard saying third Elijah arise, get up and come to where I am. Terrified, but obedient, the Prophet by faith believed and forsook all, giving up business and other obligations to journey to Rome, Egypt, Jordan and into the Promised Land of Israel.

Prophet Herbert Elijah Goodwin Jr., also known as Eliyahu, talks with Emunah hosts Tamara and Charisse about his calling to spread the gospel both in the USA and abroad. He is a talented musician, songwriter, entertainer, producer, director, actor and Minister of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Often his sermons, speeches, lectures and teachings include the clarion call of the shofar, which he blows with precision.

Born and raised in the South, Prophet Elijah grew up in a little town called Yemassee in South Carolina where he was raised by his father Herbert Goodwin Sr., who pastored Griffin Hill Holiness Church and his mother Jamesina Goodwin who worked hard to raise her children with morals, standards, family values and respect for others. He credits his mother with raising him to "trust God."

He served more than six years in the U.S. Marine Corps, and was given the vision in 2003 to begin Razor Sharp Records as an independent label and recording studio in New Bern, North Carolina. He earned a Bachelor's Degree in Entertainment Business from Full Sail University in Winter Park, Florida. The Studio today operates in Stone Mountain, Georgia.

After being called to the ministry, God directed him to his first trip abroad in 2017. He had asked the Almighty to lead him to a relationship with God that's similar to what we read about in the Bible. With little money but a lot of faith, he describes in detail his trek through pyramids in Egypt and other adventures.

God was teaching him what it means to "Live" a righteous life.

"For me, it's not just hearing the Word and knowing scripture, it's actually applying that scripture to your actual life and behavior, [developing] characteristics that define good character," the Prophet explained. "Living for God requires discipline."

Prophet Elijah's message coalesce with the goals of Emunah - which is to teach listeners how to live for Christ.

Oklahoma sisters Yasmine and Jazlyn are distraught about all the turmoil in the world, including school shootings, youth identity struggles and parental neglect of their children.

For Yasmine, her faith in God has provided the support she needs right now. "The only reason I'm basically on the right path is because God raised me; a lot of the adults in my life are irresponsible. ...God trained me in the way I should go."

Jazlyn says, "Yes, we need to give our kids independence and kinda start that early but at the same time independence is 'you can do this on your own but if you need my help I'll be there for you.'"

Yasmine is a 16-year-old junior at the Carl Albert High School in Midwest City, OK. She is on the swim team and runs track.

Jazlyn is a 13-year-old 7th grader at the Carl Albert Middle School in Midwest City, OK.

The sisters created the Ask the Girls! episodes. They open with a selected Bible verse that holds special meaning for them. Other features include "Yea or Nay" where they discuss Christian behavior in particular situations and "If I were in their shoes," which looks at dilemmas parents tend to have in raising their children and whether mothers and fathers make the best choices in different situations.

"Coraline" explores the themes of deception, illusion, and the dangers of becoming attracted to appearance.

"If" is about a girl who discovers that she can see everyone's imaginary friends and what she does with that superpower.
