Did Thomas Edison invent the light bulb, and is it true that he said he didn’t fail 10,000 times, he only discovered 10,000 ways it didn’t work?
In today's episode, I explore the famous quote about Thomas Edison and the light bulb. You’ve probably heard the quote, “I have not failed 10,000 times—I’ve successfully found 10,000 ways that will not work.”
Today, I explore whether Edison failed 10,000 times. And I ask if he could have actually succeeded in ONE try.

In today's message, I’m talking about a SINGLE LINE OF DIALOGUE from the massive hit movie, "Top Gun Maverick" with Tom Cruise.
I talk about why that line is so important in the movie, why it captures the spirit of the movie, and what it says about us, and our purpose in life.

You know how when you place an order at a drive-through Starbucks, then they say, "See you at the next window!" And then they give you what you asked for at the next window? Well, the Universe is exactly like that!
You place your order with the Universe -- you speak what you want. And you better be clear when you speak it. Because when you pull around to the Universe's next window, you will get what you spoke.
I hope you enjoy this episode about ordering correctly. As always, thanks for listening!

Do you ever have regret over things that have happened in the past? Like you look back and think, “why did I do that?” If so, in moments like that, say to yourself, “Past ME already got to live his or her life.” Meaning, that was a decision made by past you. That decision was already made. That action was already made. That life was already made. Past you did that.
In today's episode, I explore the idea of how we can more fully live in the present moment. The past version of me -- Past Thor -- already got to live his life. Now what is Present Thor going to do?

Have you ever yelled at a baby? Probably not, right? Even if it was your own child and you were upset chances are, you would never yell at the baby.
In today’s episode, I’m going to suggest that we put a baby picture of yourself on your mirror. Once you do, I dare you to look at that picture and think a negative thought about yourself. I bet you can’t.
Also, you're going to smile more, and be more interested in life. All from one picture. Listen to why...

In today's message, I explore the phrase "get rich quick." I ask the question, should we avoid the idea of getting rich quick?
Most of us get that riches don't necessarily come quickly. We have to put in the time and work to bring about great wealth.
But the notion I want to question is the implication in this statement -- which is that we aren't already rich.
In her book E-Squared, Pam Grout writes, “By trying to get rich, we are devoting our minds to the idea that we’re not already rich. Consequently, we’ve decided in advance to be broke.”
I don't know about you, but that's NOT a decision I'm on board with. So in today's episode, we push back on the idea of getting rich quick, and I share one MINDSET CHANGE that can actually bring about what we do want.
Here's the podcast episode I mentioned: Waiting For The Other Shoe To Drop

In this episode, I ask the question, how often do you put yourself first? One way to test this is to ask what would happen if you and I were sharing a container of Neapolitan ice cream, and there's only one scoop left of each flavor. Which one would you choose? Vanilla, chocolate or strawberry? And would you feel the need to explain your choice to me?
An interesting way to think about how we express our preferences without feeling selfish. What would you choose?

Here's a question you probably don't get asked often: how much would you bid on yourself?
Here's the scenario. You're at a fancy auction at Christies. You're in the audience with one of those fancy little paddles with a number on it. But in this hypothetical scenario, you are also on the stage as the next item up for bid at this auction. So when the bidding opens, here's my question. Would you bid on yourself? And if so, how much? Would you get into a bidding war over yourself.
Clearly, this is a question that's designed to get at my own level of self esteem, how I think about myself what I believe about myself, and what my inherent worth is.
In today's episode, I explore the idea of self worth in a unique way.

In today's message, I ask if maybe we have it all wrong when we use the phrase, "Easier Said Than Done." Maybe it should be "Easier DONE Than Said." Here's why...
When we start off by SAYING something, it means we are thinking about it first. And in the thinking process, it's possible we get derailed by thoughts and doubts. Meaning, we don't get to DOING it, and we certainly never get to "DONE."

In today's message, I explore the power of making 30 day resolutions, as opposed to year-long ones. We've probably all made New Years resolutions that lasted -- what? -- maybe a month? Well what if we made it easier to stick to resolutions? One way is to shorten the time commitment required.
I decided this year I would adopt a practice of having 30 day resolutions. For the first month, I committed to (and completed!) a Dry January (no alcohol.) It worked really well, so I'm going to continue setting 30 Day Resolutions for the rest of the year.
I discuss the practice in this episode, and give some ideas of what you might consider for month-long resolutions.
