Welcome to Sunday Online at Encounter Vineyard on this final weekend of the summer holidays. We are thrilled that you’ve joined us and hope that you enjoy being a part of our online teaching, worship and ministry.

Next weekend we move into September and we will start sending out weekly Saturday Contacts again. This means that all the Church News you need to be aware of will be communicated via this avenue or on the home page of our website. However, we have a number of things coming up this month and we don’t want you to miss any of them so do please take note below some of these events and activities.

Please note that we are having our final BBQ of the summer after the celebration on the 21st September and this will be another great occasion and opportunity to connect as a church family.

This Sunday we are continuing our final summer series ‘Walking in Faith’ and Mark will be reminding us of how, with God, ‘All Things are Possible!’

Mark starts off our new series "Walking by Faith" with a challenging message about "Living with Uncertainty".

Karen wraps up our words series by reflecting on what it means to grow in self-understanding and an understanding of our shadows in her message shadows and self-understanding.

Last weekend we began our new summer series ‘Words.’ This is a series which looks at how we choose the words we live by. We all know that language holds incredible power. From the beginning, divine words set the stars in place — a cosmic act of love. In Scripture, words bring peace (Psalms), offer wisdom (Proverbs), and carry the weight to heal, stir hearts, or inspire hope. But with that power comes responsibility — because words can build or break, shaping not just moments, but generations.

Today Mark continues our series with the message ‘Motivated by Love,’ a message that looks at giving love, receiving love and making love a priority all through our lives.

We are having a series of slightly different Sunday celebrations at the moment. Last weekend we had Church at the Farm and this weekend, in our morning celebration, we have Charlie Cleverly speaking on Subversive Psalms for Abundant Living . This means that today’s talk will be available later on today via the homepage of our website. We also have this month’s Firefall as our evening celebration

Charlie is an old friend, who along with his wife Anita, led St Aldates Church in Oxford, one of the most influential Churches in the UK, for many years. He is a regular speaker at Christian festivals, helped lead New Wine Central South West with us and is a well know author. He is also seen as a spiritual mentor to many leaders in the wider Church.

Welcome to what has been a different weekend here at Encounter Vineyard.

If you are joining us for the first time, a very warm welcome to you. If you regularly join with us online, thank you for travelling with us as a church, where together we seek to follow the ‘Way of Jesus.’

We will be having our first Church at the Farm Weekend over this weekend and are so grateful for the richness of this weekend. The team, led by Sara Prince, that has helped pull this all together have been incredible and we have also been blessed with amazing June weather. We are also, so grateful to Alex, Liz and their family for sharing their beautiful farm with us this weekend.

The theme of the weekend is ‘Abundant Life’ and Mark will be bringing a special message, delivered in the barn, to all there. Here is the link to that talk for all those that couldn’t make it. We also attach our questions to accompany the message for those who want to follow this up either in their personal devotions or in Life Groups.

Please remember that next weekend we have Charlie Cleverly coming as a guest speaker at our morning celebration and that we have Firefall in the evening.
