Hello, Hivers! Here's the @encouragement project from the @aliento's team!

Today, we'll show you a small tutorial on how to find a specific niche so you can start your journey in the hive blockchain in the best way possible; for this matter, @dimeilaz made a video to explain it in a very detailed way.

-------------

https://images.hive.blog/50x0/https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/encouragement/AK6W4G5wfsNYMvHKh5cwVwajMEtMGPpnhkvG2C4YJGvNvqhYfEJmXrVbFVZH2pQ.png What are Niches?

When we come to Hive, we always come with a goal: to grow as content creators, but for that, we have to have an idea of the content we want to make. That's where niches come into play; we have to find a place where we can share our passion or talent to make ourselves known in the blockchain, and niches have that particular function: uniting all the creators who share tastes on a specific topic.

In this video, you will learn how to find a particular niche using keywords and some tips for people who are currently creating a community or people who already have time for their active communities.

To know if a community is worth posting, check its numbers, number of subscribers, active users, pending rewards, and main language because you will know if it is a niche that creators and curators are visiting. You can also know if you need to make your posts in two languages.

Also, always remember to **read the community rules** to avoid particular penalties.

Hello, Hivers! Here's the @encouragement project from the @aliento's team!

Today, we will see some tips on how to create cinema niche content as best as possible.

For this, @dimeilaz has prepared a short video with some useful information for us today. We hope you enjoy it, and if you have any questions, we are here to help in the comments section.

-------------

https://images.hive.blog/50x0/https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/encouragement/AK6W4G5wfsNYMvHKh5cwVwajMEtMGPpnhkvG2C4YJGvNvqhYfEJmXrVbFVZH2pQ.png Recommended Sites for Film Images

Based on the suggestions about the use of images in posts, both written and in videos, here is a list of websites where you can go to look for images about cinema to use them as support for your content:

* [Filmaffinity](https://www.filmaffinity.com/es/main.html)

* [The Movie DB](https://www.themoviedb.org/)

* [Rotten Tomatoes](https://www.rottentomatoes.com/)

* [Sensacine](https://www.sensacine.com/)

* [IMDB](https://www.imdb.com/)

Remember to always include the source of the images. The source must be **visible and verifiable** so that the curators can check it more simply and, therefore, have more chances of receiving a curation.

It is important to emphasize that you MUST NOT remove the original music from the video games during the gameplays, because this music is made for a purpose.

By making this change, you would be getting into copyright problems, especially if you change the original music to copyrighted music, whether by mistake or not.

Follow these tips and you'll see a big improvement in your dynamic as a content creator.

Hello, Hivers! Here's the @encouragement project from the @aliento's team!

Today, we will learn what communities are and why they work within Hive.

For this, @dimeilaz has prepared a short video with some useful tips for us today. We hope you enjoy it, and if you have any questions, we are here to help in the comments section.

------------

https://images.hive.blog/50x0/https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/encouragement/AK6W4G5wfsNYMvHKh5cwVwajMEtMGPpnhkvG2C4YJGvNvqhYfEJmXrVbFVZH2pQ.png Communities On Hive

In Hive, there is an infinity of communities with different particular niches, among which we can mention the following as examples by niche:

* ### Art and Photography: [OnChainArt](https://peakd.com/c/hive-156509/created)

* ### Science and Technology: [STEMsocial](https://peakd.com/c/hive-196387/created)

* ### Cooking and Gastronomy: [Foodies Bee Hive](https://peakd.com/c/hive-120586/created)

* ### Cryptocurrencies and Blockchain: [Leo Finance](https://peakd.com/c/hive-167922/created)

* ### Wellness and Health: [Natural Medicine](https://peakd.com/c/hive-120078/created)

Now, if you want to dig a little deeper into the communities, you can go to the [Peakd Communities page](https://peakd.com/communities) and search for the one that best suits your content type.

## Tips about sources:

##### **Visibility and Verifiability of Sources**:

- It is essential to highlight that sources on Hive must be visible and verifiable.

#### **Inclusion of Links**:

- Mention that links are mandatory. If the publication uses resources from the Internet, even if they are free of rights, the source must be cited.

- The publication must be at least 80% original, with the remaining content being resources if necessary.

#### **Recommended Resource Websites**:

- See the list above.

#### **Music Usage Guidelines**:

- Specify that music should not be used from video applications. Instead, look for copyright-free music in the music galleries of those same websites.

- In the case of video games, use the music provided by the game itself to avoid copyright infringement, as video games, books, and movies have copyright protection.

#### **Dance, Choreography, Covers, or Karaoke**:

- For dances, choreographies, covers, or karaoke, leave the official artist's music/video and the track in the case of karaoke.

#### [Vote for Aliento as a Hive Witness](https://vote.hive.uno/@aliento)

https://3speak.tv/watch?v=encouragement/mczmckqd

Hello, Hivers! Here's the @encouragement project from the @aliento's team!

Today, we will learn a little about a topic you may not know in detail, such as the Hive Witnesses.

For this, @dimeilaz and @eddiespino made a video detailing some important aspects of witnesses, such as their main functions, how much they earn, governance, and what it takes to be a witness.

In addition, they also explain how to be part of Hive Governance without running a node but voting for one as such, using our votes available at the top of witnesses.

-----------

https://images.hive.blog/50x0/https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/encouragement/AK6W4G5wfsNYMvHKh5cwVwajMEtMGPpnhkvG2C4YJGvNvqhYfEJmXrVbFVZH2pQ.png What are Hive Witnesses, and What Do They Do?

A Witness in Hive is a person or project that runs the blockchain's source code through a machine known as a "Node." This preserves the decentralization of security because the only way Hive would "disappear" would be if all nodes were shut down simultaneously. The more Hive tokens there are, the more secure the blockchain will be maintained over time.

The main objective of a Witness Node is to decentralize the security of the blockchain and produce the blocks where all the information about all the transactions that take place daily on the blockchain is stored.

However, a witness node can have another type of impact within Hive that makes it worth the community's votes because witnesses are chosen based on a Hive Power stake in their proposals, and these proposals must be attractive and logical for the community to vote for.

20 main witnesses are part of Hive Governance and can change the blockchain through what we know as "Hardfork" based on majority decisions.

--------

https://images.hive.blog/50x0/https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/encouragement/AK6W4G5wfsNYMvHKh5cwVwajMEtMGPpnhkvG2C4YJGvNvqhYfEJmXrVbFVZH2pQ.png What does a Witness get in return for its work?

When producing and validating a block of information within the blockchain, each token gets an incentive in Hive Power. This comes to 0.3 HP every 3 seconds for governance nodes (the top 20) and around 1.512 HP for backup nodes, with a different timeout range depending on the position within the top of tokens.

Here, we are going to show you the witnesses that are in the top 20 and are part of Hive Governance so they can make direct changes to the blockchain source code, and we will mention the work they do to be part of it:

Backup witnesses are those ranked below the top 20. They produce one block in each round of 21 blocks, with the top 20 witnesses producing the first 20 blocks and a backup witness producing the 21st bless.

Here, we will show you some backup witnesses that we believe do important work and deserve to be mentioned as suggestions for votes.

Anyone can become a witness on the Hive blockchain. To be elected, individuals must set up a witness node and gain votes from the community. As a witness's rank increases, they produce more blocks and earn more Hive Power. The election process involves campaigning for votes and demonstrating reliability and commitment to the network.

There are several ways to vote for a witness. It's important to know that to vote for a witness, you need to use your active key. If you want to vote for a witness from a mobile device, the best way to do it is through Hive Keychain. Check [our tutorial](https://peakd.com/hive-110011/@encouragement/fxvbjwbx) to learn how to use it.

You can vote on:

- https://peakd.com/me/witnesses

- https://ecency.com/witnesses

- https://wallet.hive.blog/~witnesses

To vote for a witness, click the button with the arrow pointing up or the checkmark. Remember, you can vote for up to 30 witnesses.

You can also vote on this website created by @cadawg.

Just add the username of the witness that you want to vote for, for example:

In the case of Aliento, we have achieved many objectives as hive witnesses, among which we can highlight the following:

* ***The growth and empowerment of the Hispanic community***: Through the support of many allied communities and the resources obtained through blockchain incentives, we have supported many content creators, which in turn has generated growth that has generated a virtuous circle.

* ***Important development work***: We have the vision to achieve important things at the development level. At the moment, we have interesting tools such as the bot that automatically pays our delegators through Disco, and we have in mind the development of many other things that can generate positive impacts on important topics such as user acquisition, education, etc.

* ***Humanitarian work***: Recently, we launched the @aliento.aid project, a non-profit project focused on supporting people with complicated health situations that require humanitarian support, in which we invite our community to participate.

Right now, we have many challenges ahead of us. Our main mid-term goal is to reach the Top 30 of the Top Witnesses and then reach the governance of the blockchain by entering the Top 20.

Also, we want to achieve the Orca status with ours. We aim to achieve this by having more resources to keep working to help others, support creation, and maintain user retention so the Hive user keeps growing.

#### [Vote for Aliento as a Hive Witness](https://vote.hive.uno/@aliento)

https://3speak.tv/watch?v=encouragement/gcxzrlkz

Hello, Hivers! Here's the @encouragement project from the @aliento's team!

Today, we'll learn how to make a delegation of our Hive Power and the basic concepts related to it through a short video by @dimeilaz. This tutorial is made specifically for PeakD, but later in this post, you will find the versions for Ecency and the Hive Keychain.

------------

https://images.hive.blog/50x0/https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/encouragement/AK6W4G5wfsNYMvHKh5cwVwajMEtMGPpnhkvG2C4YJGvNvqhYfEJmXrVbFVZH2pQ.png Delegate Through Ecency https://images.hive.blog/50x0/https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/encouragement/AK6W4G5wfsNYMvHKh5cwVwajMEtMGPpnhkvG2C4YJGvNvqhYfEJmXrVbFVZH2pQ.png

To perform the delegation of Hive Power through Ecency, we will perform the following steps:

https://images.hive.blog/50x0/https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/encouragement/AK6W4G5wfsNYMvHKh5cwVwajMEtMGPpnhkvG2C4YJGvNvqhYfEJmXrVbFVZH2pQ.png Open Ecency on your Smartphone

First, we will open the app on our smartphone and press the "wallet" button in the menu below.

Then, we will press the "Hive Power" button to access our particular stake menu.

https://images.hive.blog/50x0/https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/encouragement/AK6W4G5wfsNYMvHKh5cwVwajMEtMGPpnhkvG2C4YJGvNvqhYfEJmXrVbFVZH2pQ.png Enter the account you want to delegate to

In the delegation interface, you will see a box in which you must enter the name of the account of the person you want to delegate to; you will see a drop-down list in case you do not know the user name precisely, with several names that match what you are typing.

https://images.hive.blog/50x0/https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/encouragement/AK6W4G5wfsNYMvHKh5cwVwajMEtMGPpnhkvG2C4YJGvNvqhYfEJmXrVbFVZH2pQ.png Confirm delegation

After selecting the account we want to delegate, press the "next" button to display a new interface asking us for the amount of Hive Power we want to delegate. After entering it, we will click the "review" button to display a sale with a last look at what we want to do.

If there are no problems, press the "confirm" button, and that's it.

The steps to perform the delegation through the Hive Keychain are quite similar to those of Ecency. Let's see:

https://images.hive.blog/50x0/https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/encouragement/AK6W4G5wfsNYMvHKh5cwVwajMEtMGPpnhkvG2C4YJGvNvqhYfEJmXrVbFVZH2pQ.png Open Hive Keychain on your Smartphone

After opening our app on our smartphone, we will press where it says "HP", a new menu will be displayed and we will press where it says "HP Delegation".

https://images.hive.blog/50x0/https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/encouragement/AK6W4G5wfsNYMvHKh5cwVwajMEtMGPpnhkvG2C4YJGvNvqhYfEJmXrVbFVZH2pQ.png Enter the account you want to delegate to and confirm

In this case, it is simplified a little more. You just enter the account you want to delegate and click the "Send" button. You must be careful because, in this case, there is no Evency drop-down list, so if you have a typing error, you may have an error when sending the delegation, or you can send a delegation to the wrong account if it exists.
