Reggie Hubbard is a senior political strategist who is also a certified yoga and mindfulness teacher.  He was the former Senior Political Strategist and Congressional Liaison for MoveOn.org, served as the National Advance Lead for the 2016 Bernie Sanders Campaign, and was an Advance Consultant for then Vice President Biden and First Lady Michelle Obama.  

Reggie is the founder of Active Peace Yoga, a practice rooted in inclusion, healing, and accessibility--regardless of race, gender, body type, or experience level.  Through this platform, he offers yoga and meditation grounded in compassion, drawing creative inspiration from artists like Prince and Jimi Hendrix.  His teaching weaves together sound, movement, breathwork, and honest dialogue.  Reggie also advises studios, teachers, and wellness communities on cultivating diverse, inclusive spaces and dismantling exclusionary norms.  Following a major stroke, his recovery journey further deepened his commitment to making contemplative practices a tool for collective and personal transformation.

Richard Kaczynski, PhD is an author and lecturer in the fields of social psychology, metaphysical beliefs and new religious movements.  He is known for his biography of the occultist Aleister Crowley, Perdurabo:  The Life of Aleister Crowley, described by The Times Literary Supplement as "the major biography to date".  This podcast will focus on Richard's scholarly presentment of Crowley's The Sword of Song which was just released by Inner Traditions.

In other wide-ranging academic pursuits, Richard has held positions as assistant professor at Wayne State School of Medicine, research associate and affiliate at Yale University's Department of Psychiatry and adjunct faculty at the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry.  He has published dozens of articles in academic peer reviewed journals in areas ranging from national program evaluation of comprehensive work therapy, and multi-site clinical trials of treatment efficacy for bipolar disorder (STEP-BD), schizophrenia (CATIE) and Alzheimer's (CATIE).

Ananda is the author of Here For The Joy (2022) and Good News About the World Falling Apart (2025) the latter work being the subject of this podcast.

Ananda went to Andover, Oberlin and Yale Law School and later taught English at St. Ann's School in Brooklyn.  In 1994, he left the city for upstate New York where he worked as a carpenter and mechanic and started seriously following his bliss.  He retired from carpentry when he hit 56, but never stopped teaching:  twelve years guiding students of shamanism at Spirit Hollow, the nature and spirituality center he co-founded, and the last twenty years and counting as an adjunct instructor of anthropology, history and mythology at the Community College of Vermont.
