Renee Caldwell, aka “Sweet Nay” is a professional singer, songwriter, and entertainer who is passionate about sharing her gift and love for music. A native of Shreveport, Sweet Nay has performed in various arenas, some of which include church and community theater productions, casino shows, festivals, and local clubs to name a few. Sweet Nay’s credits include working with Grammy-nominated guitarist, Ron Johnson of La Jazz Records, penning 6 of the 10 tracks on his new artist, Monro Brown’s, project. She had the opportunity to write for Carl Sims of CDS Records to write for his project, “Hell on My Hands”, which has been a successful chart-topper on the blues circuit. Some of Sweet Nay’s performances that are more recent have been with the Shreveport Regional Arts Council’s Christmas in the Sky Jazz in the Park, Dancing for the Cure in which she has emceed as the hilarious self-made character “Lady Pink-A-Dink”, Mardi Gras Dinner and Auction in Malden, Missouri, as well as, many other events. 

In years past Sweet Nay was presented with the City of Shreveport Artist Fellowship Award from the City of Shreveport. Sweet Nay also earned a feature in a Lifetime movie entitled, “Not like Anyone Else.” And most recently in two independent efforts Sabotage or Surrender and the web series SYID. Currently, Sweet Nay is preparing to release her first complete album “It’s A Party” for which she is the executive producer and songwriter. Whether serving as emcee or jamming out, Sweet Nay consistently delivers an energetic and infectious performance that leaves her audiences wowed wanting more. Sweet Nay is STAGE ready and STAYS ready to deliver high energy and great music – Rock, Pop, R&B, Blues, Reggae, Southern Soul or whatever genre an occasion may call for ENTERTAINMENT IS WHAT SWEET NAY CONSISTENTLY BRINGS.

Rico is a native of Greenwood, SC. He became interested in music, at an early age. During his intermediate level of schooling, he began participating in singing in the choir. He has a deep and strong love for music. As he reached his teenage years, he realized that he was able to do more with his voice than most people and had tremendous voice control. His listeners were astounded at the development of this young man’s voice. 

Rico also has had the chance to perform with many artists, such as Sir Charles Jones, Rude Boys, Trey Songz, Dream, Lenny Williams, Con Funk Shun, Whodini, Mel Waiters, Calvin Richardson, Keisha Coles, Brian McKnight, Dave Hollister, Tucka Soul, Theodis Ealey, Big Mucci, Frankie Beverly, Rick Ross, sang at LeBron James' birthday, and many others. 

Rico was also a contestant on American Idol, in which he competed in Las Vegas.

As an artist, DJ and producer hailing from Chicago’s notorious South Side community, Elektrohorse is no stranger to the struggles of the common man and woman. Despite his humble beginnings, he has always been driven by the ideal that in America, hard work and dedication are the keys to success. This dedication to achievement has created a multitude of opportunities for Elektrohorse, including collaborations with some of the industry’s top talent (Will.I.Am, Nicki Minaj, Cowboy Troy, Willie jones and Timbaland among others).

 Although he's been blessed with continuous success throughout his career, Elektrohorse has never forgotten his humble, Midwestern roots. As a result, he formed his own movement, “The Party Don’t Care”. As founder of TPDC, he has always been deeply committed to promoting messages of love, unity and peace. It was this commitment to the aforementioned principles that fostered the inspiration for his most heartfelt record to date, S.T.O.M.P.

He is the primary practitioner of a hybrid sound he calls CDM — country dance music. The style seamlessly fuses country instrumentation with funk, hip-hop and electronic dance beats — a combination that has fueled mainstream country hits for years. It’s topflight entertainment, whose purpose mostly seems to be sheer enjoyment. Still, despite the fun and frolic in his songs and videos, there’s a serious side to Elektrohorse.

“I really see music as a way of bringing people together, of being a source of unity,” Elektrohorse tells the Scene. “When I came to Nashville, I found the right atmosphere of cooperation and musical interest, and it’s proven the right move.”

Nigel Perkins (The Soul Singer) is a student of Atlanta music scene pioneers Monyea Crawford and Richard Rollie of LoveChild Productions.

Nigel is currently on tour throughout the US. He's opened up for some of the biggest R&B/Soul acts including Van Hunt, Karen White, Pokey Bear, Millie Jackson, and many others.

Nigel is a member of the new generation of soul singers who are working to not only preserve but add and expand this genre of music. Nigel Perkins and LoveChild Productions look to create a musical legacy that is long lasting and internationally impactful.

Virginia native Jamaal Marvel is a singer/song-writer/rapper/producer who blends the best of all that is loved in Hip-hop, R&B, Funk and Pop into a sound that defines the word unique. Pulling elements of 80’s fun and the heart and vibe of the 90’s, he continuously impresses with creative melodies and relatable lyrics. With his third solo studio album “Tales of a Fool: Stormfront” on the horizon, Jamaal gives us a taste of what to expect this time around in his latest single “Day and Night.” With deep lyrics, soulful harmonies, and infectious flows, the Stormfront EP delivers a sound foreshadowed by his name, a work of art…a work of marvel.

Every few decades in our lives we get to experience some really great singers and entertainers. Well, once again in 2022 we get to experience another amazing singer and  her name is “Dossi Minor.” The beautiful and talented singer, songwriter and vocal producer has been singing since the age of 3 years old. Like most singers, Dossi  (pronounced like “Bossy”) grew up singing in her Cleveland OH family church and began leading songs with her dad’s quartet group at age 5.

In 2015 her singing career really blossom when she was hired to sing background with the legendary Rock & Roll Hall of Fame soul group, “The O’Jays.”  

It was here during her five-year tenure with the group, that numerous opportunities were presented to her. Dossi began to appear on major television shows, commercials, singing on albums, and performing in front of millions of people. She has toured extensively in the US and overseas gracing stages in Europe, Canada, and across the Caribbean. Dossi has shared the stage with such legendary artist like The Isley  Brothers, Patti LaBell, Gladys Knight, and Chaka Khan, to Brandy, Jennifer Hudson, Fantasia and so many more.  

Now with years of experience as an accomplished live and studio singer, she has emerged from the background and into her own spotlight. The independent R&B recording artist has just released her first single entitled “Falling in Love” on all digital  media platforms. As a songwriter, Dossi endeavors to express real-life experiences through moving melodies, memorable choruses and eloquent verses from her heart and soul.

Dossi modestly summarizes her illustrious musical career with, “I  authentically love music, and I am unapologetically me.”

MelLUXE Essentials, LLC... Bringing Back Healthy Hair

How it all started... 

Melinda Salley was a hairstylist throughout the Florida and Georgia area and has been for 25 years. Currently she is just doing her and her family’s hair.

After years of perms and hot irons, she decided that it was her time to bring Melinda back, and do her big chop. She tried many hair products, especially growth oils, but they were just temporary fixes. After making a move back home to Florida and working in the medical field for 14 years, she decide to start her dreadlock journey, because of the convenience and time, plus making her natural hair growth oil.

One day, a good friend of hers said, "you need to do a whole hair care line!" She thought, maybe I should! Melinda then, became invested in bringing healthy products to the world. A hair care line for women, men, and children of all ages. Melluxe Essentials was official April 11, 2022.

What's next ... currently Melinda is working on getting her Biography together to drop next.
