We are incredibly excited here at The Middle because this episode falls on the one year anniversary of starting this podcast!!! We certainly understand that this episode comes in the midst of collective brokenness and hurt that is gripping our nation. While addressing and lamenting the hurt of our day, we talk about the practice of choosing to focus on the grace of God seen in both the spectacular and the mundane. We call these gifts - measures of grace.

Robert Lane has been a friend for almost 20 years and is a brother in ministry that I deeply respect. He has been a missionary for 15 years in spots all across the planet. I pray this conversation will challenge you as you see what it means to support a missionary while still being on mission yourself.

Parenting is an incredible challenge that is filled with mountains and valleys. Parenting in quarantine has been a challenge all its own for many of us. Yet, this time brings an amazing opportunity for us to lead our kids through suffering as well as affording us the chance to model how to hold onto hope when circumstances are hard. We dive in to the importance of talking our kids through our suffering while offering some advice on how to model the hope of Jesus when it is needed the most.
