In this episode, Richard shares an extraordinary story of addiction, recovery, psychosis, a near-death experience, and ultimately discovering a deeper spiritual purpose.

Growing up in an environment where excessive drinking and substance use felt normal, Richard gradually moved from social use into severe addiction. What began as alcohol and drugs became a way of coping with every aspect of life, eventually consuming his relationships, career, finances, and sense of self. As the addiction progressed, isolation replaced connection, and life became centred entirely around obtaining the next drink or drug.

Recognising the destruction addiction was causing, Richard entered 12-Step recovery. Through the support of the recovery community, counselling, service to others, and developing a relationship with a higher power, he achieved several years of sobriety. During this period he rebuilt his life, developed healthier relationships, and experienced hope and stability for the first time.

However, following the sudden death of his father, the breakdown of a significant relationship, and overwhelming emotional stress, Richard experienced a severe mental health crisis. Despite remaining sober, he developed persistent voices, visual experiences, and was diagnosed with psychosis. Medical treatment brought little relief, and after eventually relapsing, he accidentally overdosed.

During the overdose, Richard experienced what he describes as a profound near-death experience. Leaving his physical body, he encountered an overwhelming sense of peace, unconditional love, and what felt like returning home. Given the choice to stay or return, he chose to come back, knowing he did not want to leave his family carrying the pain of his death.

After returning, Richard was guided towards energy healing. Through Spirit Release work and learning to understand his own energetic sensitivity, the distressing voices and visual experiences ceased. This marked the beginning of a second phase of healing—one that moved beyond recovery into a deeper understanding of spirituality, consciousness, and personal transformation.

That journey eventually led him to train in energy healing, Qigong, yoga, and sound healing. Today, Richard supports others experiencing addiction, spiritual awakening, and personal transformation, combining his lived experience with the healing modalities he now teaches and practises.

Richard speaks with remarkable honesty about both the darkness of addiction and the hope that healing can bring.

Claire-Aude’s story explores how life gradually teaches us to listen.

In her mid-forties, while working with a regression practitioner, Claire-Aude discovered she had originally been a twin. The revelation explained many of the signs and feelings she had experienced throughout her life, including a sense that she was somehow living for two. During the session, she also had a profound experience of her energy being "zipped" back together, leaving her with a deep feeling of wholeness.

The death of her father brought a profound moment of grief that she had little time or space to process. Instead, she began finding small ways to care for herself — even something as simple as smiling at strangers in the street became a quiet act of healing.

Eventually, however, the body spoke more loudly. Years of pushing through exhaustion and stress culminated in a serious health crisis that brought everything to a halt. Hospitalisation, surgery, and a later cancer diagnosis became a powerful turning point.

During that period she returned to something she had known since childhood — the understanding that the mind and body are deeply connected, and that healing begins when we truly listen.

Over time she restored her health and rebuilt her life with different priorities. Today she works as an energy healer and tarot reader, supporting others in reconnecting with their own capacity for healing.

This episode explores resilience, grief, and healing through Claire-Aude’s journey back to wholeness after a life-changing health crisis and the discovery that she began life as a twin.

Janine’s story explores the connection between illness, neurodivergence, and self-reconnection.

For many years, she was trying to be the perfect version of everything — striving, performing, and attempting to live up to expectations that never truly reflected who she was. Beneath this effort, she experienced deep stress, a constant sense of not being good enough, and feelings of judgment from others.

In this episode, Bettina Wengenroth shares the story of how a life that once felt stable, successful, and carefully mapped out was transformed by a profound inner awakening.

Before this turning point, Bettina’s world appeared secure. She was married, building a career in human resources, and living a life grounded in logic, structure, and stability. Yet a powerful soul-level activation disrupted her emotional, physical, and energetic reality in ways her logical mind could neither explain nor control.

In this episode, Taryn Nightingale shares a deeply honest account of losing herself through people-pleasing, trauma, and self-abandonment, and how that journey led her back to her intuition, her voice, and her path as a healer.

As a child, Taryn experienced strong intuitive and spiritual awareness. However, early responses from the world around her taught her to suppress those gifts and instead seek validation through achievement, approval, and being “the good girl.” Over time, this shaped an identity rooted in performance rather than authenticity.

Her story then moves into a period of significant challenge. Living away from her family, Taryn found herself in a toxic relationship that involved emotional and physical abuse.
