All of the things we want and that we think will make us happy are actually making everything worse. And we just move on to the next thing to temporarily fix it. But what if there was a lasting solution to keep us from being robbed like that? Listen in and hear how you can find the solution. Sometimes we feel like it's easier to go it alone than to deal with the hurt we know from experience will come from inviting others too far into our lives, so we isolate ourselves. Other times, we're just lonely and can't figure out why. Or maybe we feel great and are in a spot where we want to know what's next in our faith. Today's message talks about why connections with others are so important AND what we can do to move forward in these circumstances.

It can be scary to share our story with others, but when you do it while fishing with Jesus he promises it'll be worth it and you'll have a great catch.

There were some situations Jesus found himself in that could have been game changers for all of us had he responded differently, one in particular where we see just how his preparation for it shines through. Jesus knew who He was, and He knew who we were. He knew that we try to deal with our pain but we weren't created for pain, and we that need Him because He could deal with all of it. He knew He needed to show us His love on earth, not from afar in heaven. He knew He'd have to die to take away our pain. Whatever you need, He wants to be that for you: He wants to guide you if you're lost, He wants to be your healing if you're sick, He wants to be your strength if you're weak, He wants to be your defender if you feel attacked, He wants to be your companion if you feel alone. When we can understand why He came and who He is, we have the opportunity to respond to what that means and it will change our lives. Listen in for understanding into the why behind it all.

The struggles in our lives distract us from many things, so that we can't really see what is going on. And when it comes to God, we wonder if he is even there. In this week's episode, we discover where God says He is in our hardest times.
