專業名詞解釋

linguist-- a person who studies linguistics.

Psycholinguistics-- the study of psychological aspects of language. Experiments investigating such topics as short-term and long-term memory, perceptual strategies, and speech perception based on linguistic models are part of this discipline.

Corpus linguistics-- In modern Linguistics, this term is used to refer to large collections of texts which represent a sample of a particular variety or use of language(s) that are presented in machine readable form.

Li-shin and Mina will first read the poem; discuss the unique usage of dashes in Emily Dickinson’s poem; then, interpret the poem by quoting and will further discuss in the Dickinson researchers’ point of view.
