When you first become good at something, it’s an amazing feeling. Maybe, you learned how to play cards, and now you’re beating all of your friends. Or perhaps, you learned how to create a great illusion so it looks like you disappear in front of people’s eyes. You might have a bunch of talent, but what happens when you stop practicing? You might lose your skills. If it’s been awhile, you may need to do the activity to see if you’ve still got it.
A person might say that they’ve still got it, when they successfully try something after a long time of not doing that thing. If you stop playing cards for ten years, but you can still beat your friends, then you’ve still got it. If you stop practicing your illusion, but you can still disappear, then you’ve still got it.
